Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke is set to make the first defense of his ONE Championship 115-pound title at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on November 13th. The Thai will be taking on Shooto South American strawweight champion Yago Bryan.
Dejdamrong (5-0) became the first ever ONE strawweight champion when he beat Roy Doliguez by technical decision in May. It was his fifth win for Asia's biggest mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion but his first fight at 115 pounds, the previous four victories had come in flyweight matchups.
At ONE: "Pride of Lions" the Muay Thai veteran will be going up against an opponent 14 years his junior. Bryan (3-0) made his pro debut in 2014 and won three fights out of three that year, culminating in a victory last December which saw him crowned Shooto South American 115-pound champion.
As well as pitting two champions from different organizations together this matchup also sees two of the top camps in the world going head to head. Bryan fights out of Nova Uniao and trains alongside the likes of Jose Aldo and Renan Barao, while Dejdamrong represents Evolve MMA where he will be learning from fighters like Shinya Aoki and Ben Askren.
ONE: "Pride of Lions" is headlined by a welterweight title rematch between Ben Askren and Luis Santos. The card will be broadcast live on FOX Sports Asia and is available on pay-per-view (PPV) for $9.99 USD from www.oneppv.com.
