UFC 193: Joanna Jedrzejczyk says Valerie Letourneau title fight will be bigger hit than Mark Hunt's punch

And that's saying a whole lot.

Ronda Rousey may be the queen of mixed martial arts (MMA), but Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) strawweight champion, Joanna Jedrzejczyk, is building a strong fan base.

The Polish-born fighter has made quite a name for herself since capturing the title earlier this year by absolutely obliterating then-title holder, Carla Esparza, at UFC 115 in Dallas Texas (highlights here).

She followed up that performance by taking out Jessica Penne in her first-ever headlining event at UFC Fight Night 69 this past June (see the bloody aftermath here).

But those performances will pale in comparison to her next bout, as she says her upcoming title fight against Valerie Letourneau will be a big hit. Figuratively speaking,  Mark Hunt's most powerful hit won't be able to hold a candle to it, says Joanna.

Her words courtesy of Chris Olech:

"I will be ready for five championship rounds. Valerie is a very tough opponent. Regardless of what anyone says, I always have a lot of respect for my opponents. She is very tough, experienced and strong. She has very strong points. I am conscious of the fact that she nearly knocked out Maryna Moroz in their recent fight. But I am working hard to neutralize her from the early seconds of the fight and win. It will be a very interesting fight though between two strikers. I think it will be fight of the night. It will be a strong hit, stronger than Mark Hunt's, though he is phenomenal."

For Joanna, losing isn't an option. And though she isn't afraid to lose, she knows she will be champion for a long, long time.

"It is not that I am scared to lose. I do not want to lose or feel that emotion. I know that if i were to lose that i will give absolutely everything of myself. I will know that I have a clean conscience and soul since i gave it all. But I will be champion for a long time."

Her fellow 115-pound colleague, Paige VanZant, agrees.

Earlier this year, Joanna -- who is undefeated in MMA (10-0, 4-0 UFC) -- inked a sponsorship deal with Reebok, making her one of, if not the, face of Polish MMA.

And everything she's said and done has more than proven she deserves everything she's received thus far in her young career.

Another fruit of her labor will be co-headlining UFC 193 on Nov. 15, 2015 in Melbourne, Australia; a pay-per-view (PPV) event that can shatter attendance records thanks in large part to Ronda Rousey's main event bout against Holly Holm.
