There's something about those Irish folk that compels them to put on entertaining scraps.
Such was the case with flyweight prospect Neil Seery (16-11), who went toe-to-toe with Filipino grappler Jon Delos Reyes (8-5) for just over five minutes at the UFC Fight Night 76 mixed martial arts (MMA) event today (Sat. Oct. 24, 2015) inside 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland.
From the opening bell, Neil Seery delivered several powerful blows that nearly dropped Reyes in round one. Fortunately enough, the 28-year-old waded through a tense few opening minutes to gain some momentum later in the first.
After surrendering the first frame almost entirely to Seery, Reyes came alive in round two and looked to be putting together an attack on the ground, when in a scramble, "2Tap" found the neck of the submission specialist and cranked on it for the guillotine-choke finish at 4:12 mark.
