UFC Fight Night 76 live stream results: 'Holohan vs Smolka' play-by-play updates

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is bringing its brand of mixed martial arts (MMA) back to 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland, this Saturday afternoon (Oct. 24, 2015) LIVE on the UFC Fight Pass digital network.

After a slew of last-minute injuries, the reworked UFC Fight Night 76 mixed martial arts (MMA) event will feature local product Paddy Holohan looking to make it three straight at the expense of surging Louis Smolka in the flyweight main event.

125 lbs.: Paddy Holohan vs. Louis Smolka

Round 1: Low kick from Smolka. Holohan shoots in almost immediately and takes Smolka down, landing in side control. Smolka manages to lock up a d'arce from his back, but Holohan's not in danger. One minute in. Smolka pops up, then goes back down to his knees due to a Holohan guillotine. Smolka tries a head-and-arm throw and Holohan nearly gets the back. The Irishman gets top position, then shoots in when Smolka tries to make room. Hoohan hangs on through a Granby roll, then goes for a leg when Smolka takes top position. Smolka escapes a heel hook and tries to pass guard. Smolka counters a weep with an ankle lock attempt. Two minutes to go.

They return to their feet and Holohan takes him down once again. Smolka catches him with a head kick and a hard right hand when they stand, then tries to sprawl on a takedown. Great grappling exchanges. Nice right hand by Holohan, then a front kick by Smolka. One minute to go. Holohan looks for a low single, then a double leg. Smolka looking to counter with a Kimura grip. Smoke with a reverse elbow and some more heavy blows before the bell. Terrific round. 10-9 Holohan.

Round 2: Holohan tossing out kicks, eats an overhand right. Left hook by Smolka. Paddy comes back with a stiff left. Good striking exchanges to start the round. Holohan shoots in and transitions directly to the back, putting in a hook. One minute in. Both hooks in and now a body triangle. Holohan looking for the choke, Smolka defending well so far. Two minutes in. Smolka manages to turn into him and wind up in guard. Holohan looks for an omoplata, Smolka defends and puts Holohan in a Marcelotine. Holohan falls to his back to escape and Smolka starts dropping hard elbows. Two minutes to go.

Holohan looks for another omoplata, Smolka steps over and drops some more hard shots. Nice body kick by Smolka and he's pouring it on. Full mount for Smolka and the punches and elbows are piling up. Holohan gives up his back and Smolka applies the rear-naked choke, forcing a totally drained Holohan to submit.

155 lbs.: Reza Madadi vs. Norman Parke

Round 1: Madadi comes out quickly and shoots in. Parke reverses on the fence and separates. Front kick from Parke, body kick from Madadi. Clinch. Parke stops a takedown and presses him against the fence. One minute in. Body kick from Madadi, left hand by Parke. Parke tossing out head kicks. Counter 1-2 from Parke, then a snap kick to the body. Madadi goes in for a single-leg. Two minutes in. Parke fighting it off and looking for a power guillotine. t's not there, so he turns Madadi around. Short shots from Parke. Two minutes to go.

Madadi reverses position. He tries a takedown, Parke counters with a Kimura grip and denies a sacrifice throw. They separate. Straight lefts from Parke, overhand right form Madadi. Parke sprawls on another takedown. Parke to the body amid his combinations. One minute to go. Clinch. Straight lefts by Parke. Another 1-2. Brief clinch. Straight right from the Swede. 10-9 Parke.

Round 2: Parke coming out a little more aggressively. Madadi coming back with lead rights. Low kicks from Parke, who's mixing in head kicks. Counter left by Parke, then on the lead. Body kick. Right uppercut, left straight. One minute in. Madadi shoots in and completes a takedown. Parks scrambles up, Madadi attached via rear waistlock. Parke spins to face him and separates. Lots of quick, short punching exchanges. Combination by Parke, then a level change. Two minutes in. They jockey for position on the fence. Knee to the body by Parke. Short left on the break. Two minutes to go.

Parke keeping the pressure on, such as it is. Knee to the body. They separate. Body kick and straight left from Parke. Uppercut and left straight land. Madadi waves him on. One minute to go. Madadi falling short with most of his punches. 1-2-upper by Stormin' Norman. He tries to take Madadi down on the fence, cannot do so. They separate and both land uppercuts at the bell. 10-9 Parke.

Round 3: Parke keeping up the 1-2s and head kicks. Straight left, uppercut. Madadi pursuing with ugly punches. Uppercut lands for the Swede. Madadi takes him to the fence. Parke defending the takedown and separates. One minute in. Straight right by Madadi, who's basically plodding after Parke. Parke not throwing as much this round. Madadi landing some decent shots. Parke clinches, Madadi knees the body. Two minutes in. Parke shoots in, presses him against the fence before separating. Nice uppercut and right hand by Madadi. He shoots in again, Parke reverses. Two minutes to go.

1-2s from Parke, who takes Madadi down near the fence. The Swede makes it back up, Parke stays attached to him. Parke lets him go after failing the takedown. Parke's exhausted. One minute to go. Parke shoots in, resses him against the cage. Madadi reverses and tries to change levels. Parke also reverses. 10-9 Madadi.

170 lbs.: Nicolas Dalby vs. Darren Till

Round 1: Dalby wings out a head kick. Straight left from Till. Till gets the Thai plum and lands a pair of knees to the body. Straight left counters a Dalby low kick. They clinch up, no clean strikes. Straight left again by Till. One minute in. Hard counter left as Dalby steps in. Straight left and knees to the body, Dalby answers with punches inside. Body kicks from Till. Two minutes in. Dalby gets the body lock and takes him to the fence. Till pushes him off, lands a straight left. Body kick connects. Dalby with a body kick, Till catches and mocks it. Glancing head kick by Dalby. Dalby clinches after eating a knee to the body. Two minutes to go.

Dalby with knees upstairs. Till makes space. Head kick from Till, then knees to the body. Lead elbow misses. One minute to go. 1-2 from the Englishman. Both land leg kicks. Straight left by Till, short punches by Dalby. BIG counter uppercut drops Dalby! Till slamming home shots but can't finish him before the bell. 10-9 Till.

Round 2: Low kick by Till. Low kicks by Dalby in return. Straight left and knees from Till. Dalby looks for a head kick. One minute in. Till head kick goes high. Dalby checks a leg kick, eats a 1-2. Dalby with a snap kick to the body. Till looks for the counter uppercut again, lands a straight left. Two minutes in. Elbow and knees by Till. He gets double underhooks and moves to the rear waistlock. They separate. Two minutes to go.

Dalby falls short with a head kick, eats a body kick. Straight left by Till and Dalby hits a body lock takedown. Till scrambles up, takes a knee to the head. Solid knee by Dalby, who changes levels. One minute to go. They separate. Overhand from Till. Till catches a body kick, then another at the bell. 10-9 Till.

Round 3: 1-2 from Till, Right from Dalby on the pivot. Till trips him up with a single-leg. Dalby connects with a head kick and chases Till with punches. Till clinches, then shoots in. Dalby gets his leg free. Straight right from Dalby, then an overhand after taking a left. Dalby shoots in on the fence and takes Till down. TIll makes it to his feet and separates. Another head kick by Dalby. Till's tired and he's eating some big shots. Dalby chewing him up and clinches on the fence. Two minutes in. 1-2 by Dalby. They separate. Dalby beating him up on the feet and takes him down into half guard. Now to mount. Hammerfists by Dalby. Two minutes to go.

Dalby looking for the back. Good punches by the Dane. He lands a knee as Till stands. Dalby in pursuit, lands a right hand. Dalby ties up on the fence and lands some good knees. One minute to go. Good takedown by Dalby. Till gets back up. Counter uppercut by Til. Combination and elbows from Dalby on the fence. Head kick and right hand. Another nasty knee and another by Dalby before the bell. 10-8 Dalby.

125 lbs.: Jon Delos Reyes vs. Neil Seery

Round 1: Counter right from Seery early on. Reyes looking for the lead right. Seery lands a low kick, eats a right hand and Reyes ties up on the fence. They separate. Combination by 2Tap. One minute in. Left hook lands for him. Reyes backs him up with a combo. Clubbing right hand connects for the Irishman. Reyes gets the plum, knees the body, and takes Seery down into guard. One butterfly hook for Sery. Two minutes in. Reyes comes down with an elbow, pulls his arm out of an armbar and Seery stands. Two minutes in. Seery moving forward, lands a 1-2. 1-2-3 by Seery, right hand exchange. 1-2 again by Seery. Reyes changes levels and puts Seery on the fence. Seery sprawls on it and takes the front headlock. Two minutes to go.

Elbow by Seery. delos Reyes trying to stand on the fence. He gets back to his feet, eats a knee upstairs. delos Reyes counters an outside trip, Seery immediately sweeps his way back up. One minute to go. Knee by Reyes, left hook by Seery. Left hook and low kick. Short uppercut from Reyes met by an overhand right. Seery with a low kick before the bell. 10-9 Seery.

Round 2: Overhand right from Seery starts the round. Good knee by Reyes as they trade punches. Reyes low kick, 1-2-3 by Seery. Reyes catches a low kick and Seery slaps on an arm-in guillotine in transition. Reyes slips out and takes the back when Seery tries to stand. One minute in. Reyes trying to trap an arm. Seery works his way to his feet and tries to slip out the backdoor.  He does so and grabs a bodylock as Reyes gets to his feet. Two minutes in. Knee to the body by the Irishman. Seery looks for a takedown, can't get it but stays on his hips and dumps him. Two minutes to go.

delos Reyes makes it back up and reverses on the fence. Good 2-3 as they separate and they're slugging on the fence. Hard shots by delos Reyes. delos Reyes shoots in under a Seery hook and Seery again looks for a guillotine. It's in deep this time and Reyes taps almost as soon as they hit the ground.

155 lbs.: Mickael Lebout vs. Stevie Ray

Round 1: Ray trips up after overextending. Lebout tries a high kick, falls short. One minute in. Low kick from Ray. 1-2 lands for him. Body kick lands, then a hard straight left knocks Lebout's head back. Body kicks from Ray. Two minutes in. High kick attempt from Ray. Body kick connects. Lead left lands for Ray. Two minutes to go. Right hook lands. Straight right connects for Lebout. Straight left by Ray. 1-2 from Lebout. Body kick from Ray. Check hook after Lebout falls short with a knee. One minute to go. Another left straight hits home for Ray. 3-2, Lebout looks for the knee. Nice right from the Frenchman before the bell. 10-9 Ray.

Round 2: Combination from Ray in the early going, straight right by Lebout soon after. Ray low kick. One minute in. Another low kick lands. Glancing high kick, then a straight left. Lebout looks for a knee, lands a counter right. Two minutes in. Lebout chasing him down and shoots in on the fence. Lebout with a knee on the exit. Ray lands a right hook. Inside low kick lands for Ray, Lebout answers. Two minutes to go.

Straight right by Lebout. Low kick from Ray. Low kicks from Lebout, right hooks by Ray. Ray gets the Thai plum when Lebout moves to clinch. They separate. Jumping switch kick by Ray. Round 3: Aggressive start to the round. Ray trips Lebout up with a counter right hook. Low kick from the Scot. Right hands from Lebout on the fence. Ray lands a body kick, eats a low kick. Glancing head kick by Ray. Uppercut and left straight connect. One minute in. Low kick. More low kicks, then a pair of right hooks. They trade bombs on the fence before clinching. Ray with a knee from the plum. Two minutes in. Ray eats a counter right and taunts. Right hand by Lebout. Check hook from Ray, that punch has worked well for him. Another check hook and Lebout enters the clinch, only to eat a left on the break. Two minutes to go.

Ray tries a spinning back kick, lands a 1-2. Lebout ties up and they jockey for position on the fence. One minute to go. Lebout with a knee to the body as they separate, then a clean straight right. Spinning elbow actually lands for Lebout, who's coming on strong in the last minute. Ray gets the Thai plum, then flings Lebout to the mat before the bell. 10-9 Ray.

115 lbs.: Ericka Almeida vs. Aisling Daly

Round 1: Daly charges out of the gate, pushing Almeida back. Almeida obliges the exchange and they jockey for position on the fence. Short shots in the clinch as they continue to move in the clinch. One minute in. Thai plum and knees from Almeida. Daly takes her to the fence. Two minutes in. Dirty boxing by Ais. Two minutes to go.

Daly keeping up the pressure. She finally gets the takedown with about a minute to go, landing on top in guard. Almeida using wrist control as Daly postures. Solid punches by Ais the Bash. She comes down into half guard and avoids a sweep while landing punches at the bell. 10-9 Daly.

Round 2: Daly wades right back into the clinch and Almeida tries to work the plum. Daly looks for a single-leg, can't get it. Still pressing Almeida against the cage and manages to complete an outside trip from the bodylock. Almeida tries a Granby roll, can't get on top. Daly looking for an arm triangle. Daly postures up and drops punches and hammerfists. Two minutes in. Solid shots from the Irishwoman. Almeida tries to kick her off, can't do so. Suddenly, Almeida threatens a triangle and manages to trip Daly down in the ensuing scramble, taking side control. Two minutes to go.

Almeida tries to step over, takes Daly's back when she tries to counter. Daly punching over her shoulder, but Almeida has both hooks in. One minute to go. Daly still fighting off the choke. She makes it through the round. 10-9 Almeida.

Round 3: The two women immediately punch away on the inside. Daly goes for a head-and-arm throw and Almeida tries to take the back, but winds up stuck on the side. Daly landing short punches on the suspended Brazilian. One minute in. Almeida falls to her back and Daly postures up, elbowing her thighs. Daly continues to stand over her and punch, eats an upkick. Two minutes in. Almeida keeping her off with her legs, pressing Daly against the fence. Daly continuing to beat up her opponent's legs. Daly sneaks in right hands to the face. More solid right hands by Daly. Two minutes to go.

Daly whacking away. Upkicks from Almeida, plus hammerfists off her back. One minute to go. Daly to the body, then the head. Solid punches as she navigates past Almeida's legs. Daly continues punching until the bell. 10-9 Daly.

Final result: Daly def. Almeida by unanimous decision


185 lbs.: Scott Askham vs. Krzysztof Jotko

Round 1: Hard low kick from Askham. Another. Counter left as Jotko continues looking for his own low kicks. Jotko tries a back elbow from way too far out. Another low kick by Askham. One minute in. Again, Jotko counters with a left. Nice level change and outside trip by Jotko, who lands in guard. Jotko nearly takes mount; one butterfly hook for Askham. Two minutes in. Askham making efforts to sweep, regains full guard. Short punches from Jotko. Two minutes to go.

Askham scoots to the fence and makes it to his feet. He's marked up and bleeding over the left eye. Good takedwon from Jotko, Askham brings his legs up for a triangle. He switches to the armbar and Jotko stacks him, punching with the other hand. One minute to go. Askham loses the armbar, manages to retain guard. Elbow by Jotko. Solid ground-and-pound until the bell. 10-9 Jotko.

Round 2: Askham whiffs on a head kick. Low kick lands. Straight left by Askham, counter uppercut by Jotko. One minute in. Askham falls short with a knee. Spinning attack by Jotko. Askham hits him with another leg kick. Inside low kick from Jotko. Jotko counters a head kick with a pair of straight lefts. Two minutes in. Right hook by Jotko, straight left by Askham as he ties up. Knees to the thigh from the Englishman. Two minutes to go.

Jotko knees the body and turns him around. Askham separates. Inside low kick lands, Jotko takes an eye poke. One minute to go. Glancing front kick from Askham pumps Jotko up. Axe kick attempt by Askham. Check hook by Jotko. Askham ties up before the bell. 10-9 Askham.

Round 3: Askham whiffs on a head kick, lands a left straight. Another straight left connects. Right hook from Jotko. 1-2 lands. Low kick by Askham. One minute in. Jotko knees the body inside. Askham steps into the clinch behind a front kick. Jotko shoots in and takes Askham to the fence. Two minutes in. Askham lands a hip toss, but Jotko rolls through and lands on top. Jotko nearly takes the back when they scramble up. 1-2-3 and a knee by Askham. Into the clinch, knees from both. Two minutes to go.

They continue to clinch. One minute to go. Jotko fires knees, ref separates them. Body kick form Jotko. Knee by Askham, left hook by Jotko. Askham misses a front kick and Jotko chases until the bell. 10-9 Jotko.

Final result: Jotko def. Askham by split decision


170 lbs.: Tom Breese vs. Cathal Pendred

Round 1: Light blows on both sides to start, but Breese smashes Pendred with a counter left. The Irishman looks done for a moment, but immediately pops back up. One minute in. Takedown attempt by Pendred. Straight left from Breese, then a body kick. Breese now stalking and Pendred's nose is gushing blood. Two minutes in. Stiff jab by Breese. Pendred changes levels and gets double unders, taking Breese to the fence. Breese shoves him away after a time. Body kick by Breese. Two minutes to go.

Overhand right and knee to the body by Pendred. Hard counters and a body shot by Breese. Head kick attempt. One minute to go. Nice straight left by Breese as Pendred lunges in. Body kick from Breese and a pair of straight lefts drop Pendred. The big Englishman pours on the punishment and the referee steps in to stop the beating. Big win for Breese.

Final result: Breese def. Pendred by TKO (punches)


145 lbs.: Darren Elkins vs. Robert Whiteford

Round 1: Elkins aggressive early. Hard right hook by Whiteford on the counter. Left hook by Elkins soon after. Straight right connects. One minute in. Counter left from Whiteford; Elkins is running right into some hard punches, although he does land a left hook. Right hooks by Whiteford get Elkins' attention. Elkins shoots in and takes Whiteford down on the fence. Two minutes in. Front headlock from Elkins. Whiteford manages to pop up. Check hook lands for the Scot. Lead right uppercut. Elkins shoots in and scores another brief takedown. Whiteford attempts a power guillotine but can't get it. Two minutes to go.

Elkins keeping Whiteford down well. Whiteford manages to stand with about a minute to go and presses Elkins against the cage. Knees from Elkins. He turns Whiteford around, Whiteford separates with a right hook. Nice check hook briefly trips Elkins up. 10-9 Whiteford.

Round 2: Elkins tries a counter takedown, can't get it. Whiteford sprawls on another shot, eats a long right hand. Single-leg from Elkins spins Whiteford to the mat. One minute in. Elkins keeping pressure on him, takes the back. Whitefod manages to regain half guard, then full guard. Elkins tries to drop punches, Whiteford manages to stand but goes down to another single leg. Two minutes in. Whiteford trying to use the cage to stand, makes it to his seat. Elkins keeps driving and escapes a ninja choke. He looks for the back, landing knees and punches. Two minutes to go.

Whiteford makes it up, his face looking less-than-pristine. Double unders for the Scot. Whiteford fights off a takedown, Elkins just shoots in again. Whiteford counters with a lovely hip toss and drops Browne elbows when Elkins scrambles up. One minute to go. Elkins spins him down once again. Short punches by Elkins, who looks for a guillotine. He doesn't manage to lock his hands before the bell. 10-9 Elkins.

Round 3: Hard counter left from Whiteford early on. Whiteford spralws on a level change. Straight right by the American. Counter right lands. Whiteford with a counter 2-3. One minute in. Elkins pops him with a left and takes him down on the fence. Whiteford trying to keep his back on the fence as Elkins works to pull him off. He manages to stand and keep his ankle out of danger. Two minutes in. Straight left by Whiteford, 2-3 from Elkins. Elkins looking for a high kick. Good exchange, Elkins hurts him with a knee and right hand. Whiteford changes levels as Elkins pursues, Elkins gets the takedown. Two minutes to go.

Elkins working to pull Whiteford away from the fence. The Scot gives up his back and Elkins puts in a body triangle. One minute to go. Elkins trying to soften him up. Whiteford fighting off the choke as Elkins bonks away. Elkins gets it under the chin, but doesn't have time to finish. 10-9 Elkins.

185 lbs.: Bubba Bush vs. Garreth McLellan

Round 1: McLellan tosses out a front kick, Bush comes back with a leg kick. McLellan staying busy with his legs. Bush shoots in and takes McLellan to the fence. Bush gets double unders, can't get the takedown. One minute in. He changes levels and completes an outside trip. McLellan turns him over with a guillotine grip, Bush continues to shoot and removes his neck from danger. Two minutes in. Fence grab by McLellan, who's got the front headlock. Bush uses a high crotch and takes McLellan back down. Half guard as McLellan tries to control the neck. Two minutes to go.

Bush passes to side control when McLellan tries to scramble up. North-south now. McLellan regains half guard after eating a right hand. McLellan attacking a Kimura, gives up turtle position. One minute to go. Bush gets his arm free and drops punches from turtle. McLellan rolls through and slaps on an arm-in guillotine when they stand. The South African pulls guard, but Bush extracts his head  before the bell. 10-9 Bush.

Round 2: McLellan tossing out high kicks. Bush uses some good chain wrestling to grab the bodylock and take McLellan down. McLellan pops up in a hurry and Bush continues to drive. McLellan uses a fence grab to counter a takedown and land in mount. One minute in. Bush regains half guard. Two minutes in. Short punches by McLellan. Solid punches from the South African. Two minutes to go.

He's keeping up the ground-and-pound. Bush nearly gives up his back trying to roll. McLellan opens up briefly with some real big shots. One minute to go. Elbows by McLellan now. 10-9 McLellan.

Round 3: McLellan comes out aggressively, cracking Bush with a lead uppercut and shooting in. He changes levels and slams Bush down, landing in half guard. Bush tries to stand, nearly gives up his back. He does give up the bac next time, but he manages to drive through and shoot in on the fence. McLellan pulls guard on an arm-in guillotine, which proves a mistake as Bush takes half guard. McLellan working to stand, gives up his back. Two minutes in. One hook in for Bush, but he's too high and slips off. McLellan changes levels and dumps Bush down. Two minutes to go.

McLellan keeping up the ground-and-pound. One minute to go. Bush turns into him, McLellan sprawls and drops punches. Heavy blows now and the ref takes way too long to stop it.
