Two of the eight-best fighters in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Lightweight division, Donald Cerrone and Myles Jury, collided last night (Sat., Jan. 3, 2015) in the co-main event of UFC 182, which took place inside MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
But, "Cowboy" demonstrated that "Fury" isn't really close to his level yet.
Cerrone set the tone early, nearly finishing Jury in the first round with a mix of creative submission attempts. To his credit, Jury defended well; however, he didn't really do much of anything else for the remainder of the 155-pound match. In fact, he went on to lose the second and third rounds, too, giving Cerrone his sixth straight win inside the Octagon and a likely No. 1 contender eliminator match his next time out.
