Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier are a combined 35-1 -- with a serious asterisk next to that one -- with 25 finishes. That alone makes their UFC 182 pay-per-view (PPV) main event, which takes place later tonight (Sat., Jan. 3, 2015) inside MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, worth tuning in for.
Then we have the epic "Bad Blood" between them.
Finally, the 205-pound strap will be on the line, making this perhaps the most anticipated light heavyweight title fight since Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz dueled way back in 2004. Will this championship showdown end in similar fashion? Each fighter states their case below.
What's even better about this light heavyweight grudge match is that it doesn't end at UFC 182. The victor is already in position to face the winner of Alexander Gustafsson vs. Anthony Johnson, who throw hands at the UFC on FOX 14 event later this month in Stockholm, Sweden (more on that here).
What a great time to be a UFC fan!
