After watching Alexander Gustafsson eat leather in Sweden, some folks already have Anthony Johnson winning the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight title from reigning division kingpin Jon Jones by way of devastating knockout.
Those opinions are noted, but not having much effect on the sportsbooks.
Or are they?
"Rumble" opened as the +330 underdog against "Bones" -- who opened as the -400 favorite -- but that line has already shifted in the short time it has been up, perhaps swayed by the number of folks in the mixed martial arts (MMA) community looking to get the challenger at the best possible price.
At the time of this writing, the betting line is on average +250 (Johnson) vs. -325 (Jones), according to Best Fight Odds.
No date or venue has been announced for "Jones vs. Johnson," but considering "Bones" recently competed at UFC 182 -- just a few short weeks before "Rumble" did work at UFC on FOX 14 -- you can expect that pairing to be assigned to the Memorial Day Weekend event, or perhaps even the Fourth of July extravaganza.
Until then, which fighter gets your betting dollar?
