Paige VanZant: I expected to fight Felice Herrig because we're the hot girls in UFC

UFC

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) booked a pair of female strawweights for its upcoming UFC on FOX 15 mixed martial arts (MMA) event, which takes place inside the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, on Sat., April 18, 2015.

You know, the "hot ones."

That's according to one half of the equation, who told The MMA Hour that her bout with Felice Herrig was to be expected because c'mon, just look at them!

Sizzle! Sizzle!

"I always had on the back of my mind that me and Felice would fight, because we're the hot girls in the sport. So I kind of got myself ready for that. She's been around for a long time, and she's been somewhat of a veteran in the sport. Just to be fighting her, and to be at her level in as honor. I looked up to her when I first started the sport. She was someone who I wanted to follow in her footsteps. Now to be on the same playing field and the same level as her, it's exciting. I'm really excited about this fight."

As are we.

The good news is, they both happen to be talented fighters. VanZant (4-1) won her Octagon debut by pounding out Kailin Curran back in November, while Herrig (10-5) did likewise by submitting Lisa Ellis at The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 20 Finale just last month.

Somebody's O has got to go.
