Conor McGregor vs Dennis Siver full fight video highlights from UFC 'Boston' last night

Conor McGregor was billed as a huge mixed martial arts (MMA) superstar in the build up to his showdown with Dennis Siver in the main event of UFC Fight Night 59, which took place last night (Sun., Jan. 18, 2015) inside TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.

"Notorious" was the focus of any and all marketing, as well as nabbed primetime placement throughout the FOX broadcast of the Seattle Seahawks vs. Green Bay Packers NFC championship game earlier in the afternoon, garnering exposure to literally millions of people throughout the nation.

It was a tremendous investment in the Irish Featherweight. And it was well worth it.

McGregor needed two rounds (not two minutes) to take out Siver, who was definitely game, but so over-matched. Siver did land a handful of good shots, but McGregor was just too fast and too much to handle. The Irishman would not be denied, swarming Siver from all angles en route to a technical knockout win.

With the win, McGregor is now in the driver's seat of the 145-pound title chase, getting his crack at division champion, Jose Aldo, later this year in a stadium show possibly in front of a proud hometown crowd in Ireland. If that comes to fruition, it would undoubtedly be one of UFC's biggest shows of 2015 and perhaps to date.

Fookin' sick!
