UFC Fight Night 59 'Embedded' video blog, Ep. 2: Conor McGregor announces Reebok deal, Dennis Siver's trainer wears short shorts

New, comments

Conor McGregor addressed the nation earlier this evening on FOX Sports 1, like only he can, to reveal that he is the latest addition to Reebok's mixed martial arts (MMA) talent roster.

"Notorious" joins UFC Light Heavyweight champion Jon Jones, Lightweight kingpin Anthony Pettis, women’s Bantamweight queen Ronda Rousey and Johny Hendricks on Reebok's "A" team just days ahead of his showdown against Dennis Siver in the main event of UFC Fight Night 59, which takes place at TD Garden in Boston, Mass., this Sunday night (Jan. 18, 2015).

The Irishman could barely contain his enthusiasm:

"Can you smell that money? I've partnered with Reebok. It's a big step forward in my career and I'm honored to be with this brand. I'm honored to be one of the athletes that Reebok has chosen to get behind. I will prove that by going out and performing in phenomenal style."

Reebok Brand President Matt O’Toole issued the following statement:

"Conor's hard work, determination and confidence have gotten him to where he is today. His passion and his commitment to continual self-improvement are a true reflection of the Reebok brand."

Meanwhile, Siver was busy at the fighter hotel getting ready to score a potential upset with his head trainer, who apparently is well known for shamelessly rocking super short shorts.

Just another day at the office for each fighter ... and the experiences could not be more different heading into their Sunday showdown.
