The South by Southwest (SXSW) Interactive and Film Festival, which goes down from March 13-15 in Austin, Texas, just added a little bit of mixed martial arts (MMA) flavor to its already star-studded line up.
Rebecca Feferman, Head of SXSports, revealed to Variety that the festival will now include Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White, as well as current women's bantamweight champion, Ronda Rousey.
White and "Rowdy" join an all-star list of celebrities and athletes in the "Lone Star State" such as Charles Barkley, Deion Sanders, Shaun White, Victor Cruz, and many, many more, all of whom will take part in the SXsports section of the event.
So what exactly is the SXSW festival?
The event features hundreds of celebrities and sports stars from their respective fields taking part in panels, film screenings, workshops, and seminars and other events which interact closely with the thousands of people in attendance.
Dana and Ronda's session titled, UFC: Women Breaking Ground Inside The Octagon, takes place on Sat., March 14 from 12:30-1:30 PM. That's the same day UFC 185 (fight card here) goes down in Dallas, Texas, so I'm sure White will have the private jet on stand by.
