UFC Fight Night 59: Dennis Siver will be laughing when he beats that a--hole named Conor McGregor

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

The mixed martial arts (MMA) community hasn't heard much from Dennis Siver, as the featherweight veteran gears up for his UFC Fight Night 59 main event showdown against Conor McGregor this Sunday night (Jan. 18, 2015) at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.

Probably because no one can hear him over all this noise.

But don't worry, he has been listening. And he also knows most fans have completely written him off and have pretty much resigned themselves to the fact that McGregor will be fighting Jose Aldo for the 145-pound title later this year in Ireland.

That's why he'll be laughing when he wins this weekend in "Beantown" (via GroundAndPound.de):

"Everyone thinks I've already lost the fight. You can't hype someone after four fights. In his last fight he has looked good, but the battle was only two minutes or so. For me he landed a fluke punch [against Dustin Poirier], because until then, the whole thing was even. And his fights before that were also nothing special. I'm not impressed at all. He promised to beat me in two minutes, but he can stick that prediction in his ass. When I finish him on Sunday, I'll laugh. I can understand all that shit talking in front of the camera, but when he does it privately, behind the scenes, that proves to me he is an asshole."

Not everyone agrees.

In fairness to McGregor, the promotion shoulders some of the blame. While UFC President Dana White is out negotiating with stadiums in Ireland and Brazil, his production team is releasing a boatload videos of the "Notorious" featherweight while giving Siver zero press.

There will be a lot of egg on a lot of faces if Siver manages to upset the apple cart.

And laughing.
