Bellator and Strikeforce veteran Louis Taylor stepped up on short notice to take over for Costa Phillipou -- and will now step out on even shorter notice against Uriah Hall -- at the upcoming UFC Fight Night 59 mixed martial arts (MMA) event in "Beantown."
And the promotion wasn't too happy about it.
Hall is currently without an opponent with less than a week until weigh ins, which means matchmakers can find a warm body, or bench The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 17 star until the next event and promote one of the "Prelims" fights to the main card.
We'll know soon enough.
UFC Fight Night 59, which takes place next Sunday on FOX Sports 1 inside the TD Garden in Boston, Mass., will be headlined by a featherweight fracas pitting top 145-pound contender Conor McGregor opposite dangerous kickboxing veteran Dennis Siver, while Ben Henderson and Donald Cerrone lock horns in a spectacular lightweight co-main event.
