One thing you can never accuse Donald Cerrone of, is being lazy. Aside from wanting to fight as many times as he can per calendar year, "Cowboy" just can't seem to stay put when he's not exchanging strikes inside a cage.
Case in point, three days prior to getting into the Octagon at UFC 178 to face Eddie Alvarez -- which went down on Sept. 27, 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada -- Cerrone was wake boarding on Lake Mead (video) while most of the fighters on the card were probably taking the time to relax before fight night.
Nothing wrong with living life to the fullest.
But as he recently told The Underground, he will put an end to his extracurricular, adrenaline-filled activities during fight week at the request of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President, Dana White.
"Yeah, he was pretty adamant tonight about it. He said, 'On fight week, just cut it back.' And I can agree with that. For sure."
This isn't the first time White has asked "Cowboy" to take it easy.
In 2013, White jokingly "threatened" to kill his star lightweight for disobeying company policy of engaging in dangerous activities prior to a fight after catching wind of this picture here, which shows Cerrone scaling a rock three months prior to his fight against K.J. Noons.
Soon thereafter, Cerrone took a 40-foot fall after his equipment failed. Thankfully, Cerrone -- who vowed to leave his "wild man" days behind -- didn't suffer major damage as a result of the spill, and went onto defeat Noons at UFC 160.
Though he walked out of the lake unscathed, as well as leaving UFC 178 with a unanimous decision victory over Alvarez (watch it), you won't catch "Cowboy" catching air while being pulled by a speeding boat on fight week, anytime soon.
