UFC 178 fighter payouts for those athletes competing at the "Johnson vs. Cariaso" pay-per-view (PPV) event last weekend (Sat., Sept. 27, 2014) from inside MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, were released earlier today by the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC).
Not surprisingly, UFC Flyweight Champion Demetrious Johnson was the top earner of the night, raking in $183,000 for his second-round drubbing of Chris Cariaso in the headlining affair (replay). Not far behind him was Irish sensation Conor McGregor, who cashed in $150,000 for dispatching Dustin Poirier (highlights).
Eddie Alvarez also hit the six-figure mark, despite coming up short in his Octagon debut to Donald Cerrone (watch it), who now has $126,000 to spend on Fruit Roll-Ups and beer.
