The headlining attraction of today's (Sat., Sept. 20, 2014) UFC Fight Night 52: "Hunt vs. Nelson" event from the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan, featured a good ol' fashioned hoss fight when Mark Hunt and Roy Nelson met in the center of the Octagon to exchange some heavy leather.
That's exactly what they did, too, throwing bombs with the worst of intentions. Cliche as it sounds, you need only watch Nelson spam the overhand right while Hunt walked in like a battering ram eating punches to deliver his own.
Through the opening round, "Big Country" found the most success.
In the second stanza he opened with a takedown, though he didn't have much to show for it when "The Super Samoan" was back on his feet just seconds later.
The two continued exchanging offense for another minute or so before Hunt, who had been working an uppercut, landed one clean as Nelson was ducking down. It hit hard across the chin and flattened the American on his considerable stomach.
Yet another walk-off shot for Mark Hunt.
