Report: Junior dos Santos vs. Stipe Miocic possible for UFC on FOX 13 on Dec. 13 in Phoenix

But "Cigano" has a special request...

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight titleholder Junior dos Santos looks close to making his Octagon return, according to a report from UFC Tonight, which puts the Brazilian bomber into a 265-pound showdown against promising division up-and-comer Stipe Miocic.

When and where?

The upcoming UFC on FOX 13 mixed martial arts (MMA) event scheduled for Dec. 13, 2014, inside U.S. Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona. But there's a stipulation from Team "Cigano," who doesn't want a five-round main event after so many months on the bench.

Keep it to three and we may have ourselves a fight.

Dos Santos has been out of action since last October (because of this), when he was beaten pillar-to-post by reigning heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez. To his credit, Velasquez is the only fighter in UFC who has been able to figure him out, and it took a 2011 knockout loss to do it.

Can Miocic follow suit?

The surging Ohioan -- scheduled to face Dos Santos once before -- has just one defeat across 13 professional fights; however, it sticks out like a sore thumb, having been blasted by Stefan Struve back in late 2012. Miocic bounced back with three straight wins, but will undoubtedly be facing the biggest test of his young career.

Who ya' got?

In addition to Dos Santos vs. Miocic, UFC on FOX 13 is also expected to feature a heavyweight showdown pitting Alistair Overeem against the aforementioned Struve, while Jamie Varner and Drew Dober hook 'em up in lightweight action.
