TUF 20: Ronda Rousey picks 'gorgeous and charismatic' Rose Namajunas to win UFC strawweight title

"Rowdy" says "Thug" could be the person UFC President Dana White was referring to as "the next Ronda Rousey" on season 20 of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF).

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White recently came out and said there was a contestant on season 20 of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) -- which features all strawweight women -- that could very well be the next Ronda Rousey.

Bold statement, considering "Rowdy" is the current face of women's mixed martial arts (MMA) and has appeal that spreads not only into the world of combat sports, but Hollywood, as well.

Though White wouldn't give the slightest hint as to who he was referring to, Rousey herself has provided her guess as to who she thinks will be the next lady to follow in her footsteps.

From her conversation with MMA Fighting:

"I definitely think it's Rose Namajunas. I called it from the very beginning. As soon as I saw her, I saw this girl is special. I've been following her for two years. I only finally got to meet her. I've been stalking her on Instagram for year. It was so great to be able to meet her, and I wish her all the luck. I can't wait to see how she does in the season. She's got an amazing skill set, she's an exciting fighter. She takes risks, she's gorgeous, and she's charismatic. I really think she has all the tools that are needed in order to be the next really influential champion."

Namajunas, 2-1, was selected to be on the team coached by current No. 1 lightweight contender, Gilbert Melendez, during last week's premiere episode of the TUF reality show (recap).

Before going pro, "Thug" amassed a 4-0 record on the amateur circuit. Her lone professional loss came at the hands of Tecia Torres -- who just so happens to be her teammate on TUF 20 -- at Invicta FC 6 last year.

While we don't have the added benefit that White has, having already seen Namajunas compete inside the cage on a show that has already wrapped, anyone care to take a guess as to who will be the next "Rowdy?"

And don't forget, MMAmania will have you covered for episode two of TUF 20, which airs tonight (Sept. 17) at 10 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1.
