Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has a new "bad girl" and her name is Felice Herrig.
After cutting her teeth on the regional circuit, which includes stints for Bellator MMA and Invicta FC, the "Lil' Bulldog" crossed over to the world's largest mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion as a contestant on the upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 20.
And it didn't take long for her to ruffle a few feathers.
Herrig (9-5) was recently featured on the cover of the new Fitness Gurls Magazine (check out their latest issue here), and in addition to talking about her fitness routine, the budding strawweight slugger also went into detail about her time in the TUF house, among other things.
Here's a snip:
"Once again women are making history and no matter what I can always say I was the first set of straw weights in the UFC and on the very first cast of all women fighters on The Ultimate fighter. That in its self is an accomplishment. I"m not trying to focus on the outcome just the journey at this point. My mind is in a good place right now and at the end of the day I'm thankful to be living out my dreams and doing my passion."
