UFC Fight Night 43 drug test results are in from Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), which today (July 9, 2014) confirmed that select mixed martial arts (MMA) fighters tested for illegal/banned substances following the "Te Huna vs. Marquardt" fight card last month in New Zealand have all passed with flying colors.
Results from those battery of tests, which include performance enhancing drugs (PEDs) such as steroids and drugs of abuse like cocaine and marijuana, among others, all returned negative, according to MMA Junkie. The promotion, however, did not disclose which fighters were scrutinized.
As it has in the past, UFC acts as its own regulatory body in locations that do not have an athletic commission.
UFC Fight Night 43 featured Nate Marquardt's return to the middleweight division, as he tapped James Te Huna in what was the Aussie's debut at 185 pounds. For all the results and post-fight fallout from their Fight Pass event overseas, click here.
