Former Bellator welterweight champion and current ONE FC headliner, Ben Askren, was in town over Fourth of July Weekend and made a stop by The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 19 Finale, which took place on July 6, 2014, inside Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada (results here).
And that's about as close to the Octagon as "Funky" can get.
That's because the "bald man" was uninterested in signing the talented mat rat, which is unfortunate, considering Askren -- a 2008 Olympic wrestler -- is widely considered the best welterweight not fighting for UFC. That means no fight between him and the bearded "fat boy" who currently holds the strap.
@JohnyHendricks sitting front row looking like a fat boy. Hey Johny tell Uncle Dana to let you prove your actually the best. Can't beat me

Hendricks then passed by Askren, who couldn't resist the urge to call him out.
@BloodyElbow Ben: Hey Johny why don't you tell Dana to let me beat you up. Johny: Dana who(then walks off)

@BloodyElbow I mean I knew he was stupid but damn

Hendricks is currently sidelined with a bicep injury.
Even if Askren was in the UFC mix, he'd likely play second fiddle to the winner of Robbie Lawler vs. Matt Brown, who slug it out later this month in San Jose (more on that here) for the next crack at "Bigg Rigg." Then again, had White softened his stance when it mattered, perhaps "Ruthless" and "Immortal" wouldn't have made it this far.
I guess we'll never know.
