UFC Fight Night 45 bonuses: Donald Cerrone head kick knockout earns $50K

Mo' money, mo' problems...

Steve Snowden

UFC Fight Night 45: "Cerrone vs. Miller" from the Revel Hotel Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey, has officially wrapped, which means it's time for those select fighters who went above and beyond in their respective fights to get a little extra grease for their efforts.

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) dished out its standard post-fight monetary bonuses to three of the 20 fighters on the card, and it's probably no surprise who's heading home with a second sack of simoleons.

Errrr... pump the brakes. This is where I remind you the bonus structure has changed. "Fight of the Night" will still be awarded but the best knockout and submission will not earn any extra cash. Instead, there will be two "Performance of the Night" awards dished out.

Got it? Good.

This time around, Lucas Martins and Donald Cerrone scored "Performance of the Night" awards for their respective knockout victories over Alex White and Jim Miller, respectively, while John Lineker vs. Alptekin Ozkilic took home "Fight of the Night" for their thrilling battle that saw Lineker score a stoppage in the final 15 seconds.

Here are the special UFC Fight Night 45 bonuses:

Performance of the Night -- Lucas Martins

Performance of the Night -- Donald Cerrone

Fight of the Night -- John Lineker vs. Alptekin Ozkilic

Again, each fighter received $50,000 extra for their performances in addition to their respective base salaries, which we will pass along as soon as that information becomes available.
