"Ronda is obviously the one to beat, she's the one who has the belt. Is she doing great? Absolutely. I really admire her for going in and she's been cleaning up. She's got a lot of skill and she's a big threat, but everybody's also beatable. If I wouldn't want that fight, then why would I be in this sport? If you don't want to make it to the top, then you shouldn't be doing this. That would be a fight that I would want to look into."
Undefeated female fighting sensation and former professional boxer Holly Holm (7-0) was on Inside MMA last Friday (July 11, 2014) to discuss her new contract with Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). "The Preacher's Daughter," who is on the mend following her technical knockout win over Juliana Werner last April, has her sights set on UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, who has some patching up to do, as well. "Rowdy" is expected to make her next title defense by year's end -- right around the same time Holm makes her Octagon debut -- but it won't be against one another, according to promotion matchmakers. But you can bet that a win from both gals will set them on a collision course for spring of 2015 (unless this happens). Excited yet?
