Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is bringing Invicta Fighting Championship (Invicta FC), the industry's only all-female mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion, to the Fight Pass digital network with its first live event on Sept. 6, 2014, inside Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Missouri.
The full fight card will include a pair of title fights, but no Cris Cyborg (yet), who is in the process of cutting down to 135 pounds, according to promotion president Shannon Knapp.
In addition, the entire Invicta FC library will be available for subscribers. Fans can stream entire events, or single fights as part of their $9.99 per month subscription, which also includes all future events.
Not too shabby.
Fight Pass debuted last January with UFC Fight Night 34: "Saffiedine vs. Kim," which also marked the promotion's debut in Singapore. Other events would soon follow and the digital streaming service is now the source for all live events overseas, which allows local markets like Japan and Australia, among others, to hold events during normal hours.
It's also the home for unaired "Prelims," which previously took place on Facebook.
UFC Fight Night 46: "McGregor vs. Brandao" in Dublin, Ireland (more on that here), featuring the return of featherweight sensation Conor McGregor.
So ... who's signing up?
