Looks like a good number of mixed martial arts (MMA) fans tuned in to watch the FOX Sports 1 "Prelims" fights and those who did, stuck around for the main card action, which didn't get underway until 10 p.m. ET. However, not many new fans hopped on board, as the ratings went from 560,000 to just 609,000, according to Dave Meltzer.
In the 18-49 demo, viewership grew 11 percent from prelims to main card. But in Males 18-34, the numbers were identical, as the show did a 0.41 in that demo for both the prelims and the main event. The show did grow significantly for the main card in adults 35-49.
By contrast, the UFC Fight Night 38 prelims to main card jump was 369,000/936,000 on FOX Sports 1.
TUF: "Brazil 3" Finale was on late, didn't have any bona fide superstars, and had to follow the UFC Fight Night 41 event in Berlin, Germany, which aired on Fight Pass (results). Tall order any way you slice it, but at least those loyal enough to catch the prelims stuck around for the big shebang.
Which ended in "embarrassment."
