Pat Miletich in UFC Hall of Fame? Fan Expo lists 'Croatian Sensation' as next inductee

New, comments

Sunday, July 6, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. on UFC Fan Expo main stage, according to the official schedule.

Add another member of the old guard to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) hall of fame.

According to the online schedule for the UFC Fan Expo, which takes place as part of International Fight Week next weekend (July 5-6, 2014) inside Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, the first-ever UFC welterweight champion, Pat Miletich, will join the hallowed halls.

Well deserved.

"The Croatian Sensation" has since transitioned to the broadcast booth, but was a force to be reckoned with in the early days of mixed martial arts (MMA). Finishing with a 29-7-2 record, Miletich made his Octagon debut at UFC 16: "Battle in the Bayou" way back in 1998.

His UFC record stands at 8-2.

Miletich founded Miletich Fighting Systems (MFS) and has also made a name for himself training military and law enforcement personnel. Fans can now hear him on AXS TV, where he calls fights alongside Michael "The Voice" Schiavello.
