Cung Le vs. Michael Bisping staredown pic from UFC Fight Night 48 press tour in Macau

Shit just got real ... cordial.

Former Strikeforce 185-pound champion Cung Le will finally return to the Octagon, headlining the upcoming UFC Fight Night 48 event opposite Michael Bisping inside the Cotai Arena in Macau, China, on Aug. 23, 2014, live on (you guessed it) Fight Pass.

More on that fight here.

The middleweights came face-to-face on Sunday night (June 22, 2014) during a pre-fight press tour, but don't let the hard looks fool you, these two have been chumming it up since the moment they stepped off the plane.

Bisping will look to rebound from yet another crushing setback, dropping a unanimous decision to the wrestling-based attack of Tim Kennedy, who smothered the Brit to score an upset win at The Ultimate Fighter (TUF): "Nations" Finale last April.

It marked the third defeat for Bisping in his five most recent appearances, indicating that perhaps any and all championship opportunities have been lost for TUF 3's winner.

Le, meanwhile, hasn't seen action since knocking out Rich Franklin at UFC on FUEL TV 6 in late 2012 with a highlight-real one-punch finish. The win was his second straight inside the Octagon since losing to Wanderlei Silva at UFC 139 via technical knockout in Nov. 2011.

The 42-year-old action film star is 2-1 since his UFC debut more than two years ago.

The latest UFC Fight Night "Macau" event will feature a co-main event between top welterweight contenders, Hector Lombard and Dong Hyun Kim. No other bouts have been announced and/or rumored at this time.

Stay tuned.
