The fight was bad. The decision was worse.
Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight titleholder Andrei Arlovski made his long-awaited return to the Octagon as part of the UFC 174 pay-per-view (PPV) event, which took place last Sat. night (June 14, 2014) inside Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

While Arlovski made a name for himself nearly a decade ago with a string of high-profile knockouts, his split-decision win over Brendan Schaub had "The Pitbull" looking timid and gun shy. He was outstruck for most of the fight and taken down on two occasions, but still managed to pull out the controversial "W."

After the fight -- while getting showered in boos -- Arlovski asked the fans to cut him a little slack, since he was nervous about his UFC return and was still happy to be back, despite the 15 minute stinker he turned in against "The Hybrid" "Big Brown."
There's always next time, I suppose.
