Superstitious mixed martial arts (MMA) title challenger? Certainly not Ali Bagautinov -- who unlike Chris Weidman before he became Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Middleweight champion -- had no issue touching Demetrious Johnson's Flyweight belt.
Johnson and Bagautinov were on hand earlier this afternoon at UFC 174 media day to promote their 125-pound main event that takes place this Saturday night (June 14, 2014) at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada. "Puncher King" is the biggest under dog on the pay-per-view (PPV) card (see latest UFC 174 odds here), but that didn't stop him from confidently -- and sneakily -- touching what might soon be his.
Elsewhere on the card, Rory MacDonald and Tyron Woodley will battle for a top spot in the 170-pound pecking order, while Ryan Bader and Rafael Feijao bang it out for Light Heavyweight relevance.
Check out all six UFC 174 major players below, who were all on hand at media day earlier this afternoon to promote their respective matches (all photos via Esther Lin for MMAFighting.com).
