Nick Diaz: 'Anderson Silva needs to hire someone who can teach him how to punch'

He's not talking shit, merely trying to help the aging "Spider" put his punches out.

Eric Bolte-US PRESSWIRE

Sounds like someone in the Anderson Silva camp could soon be out of work.

That's assuming "The Spider" takes the advice of retired Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight Nick Diaz, who told Fight Hub (via MMA Fighting) the former middleweight champ should hire a new boxing trainer, one who can teach the Brazilian how to "put punches out."

"I'll tell you what, I think he should fire his trainer and hire himself a boxing trainer that teaches him how to put punches out. I don't talk no shit. I ain't trying to talk no shit. Of course he's got as many fights as he wants to have, but people saying shit like, 'He should retire. He's not going to be the same.' I'm like, 'Fire your coach and get somebody to train your punches.'"

Silva is widely considered one of the best mixed martial arts (MMA) strikers in the game.

Both Diaz and Silva have flirted with the idea of squaring off at one point or another and the fight was even proposed for "The Spider's" 2015 return. Of course, we first need to make sure the Brazilian is 100-percent healthy after healing his broken leg, while the ex-Strikeforce champ would have to come out of retirement.

Money talks. Bullshit? Well, you know the rest.
