Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is back in action TONIGHT (Sat., June 14, 2014) with its UFC 174: "Johnson vs. Bagautinov" pay-per-view (PPV) event from inside Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, with "Prelims" bouts on Fight Pass and FX channel.

Yes, FX, as FOX Sports 1 has previous scheduling commitments.

As the name would suggest, UFC 174 will be headlined by flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson, as he puts his 125-pound title on the line against division number one contender Ali Bagautinov. In the co-main event, Tyron Woodley looks to upset hometown hero Rory MacDonald in a race to the top of the welterweight mountain.

Round 1: DJ starts with an inside low kick. Johnson on the front foot. Another one at the one-minute mark. Ali with a counter right after a low kick. Ali lands a body kick. DJ avoids a combination. Another low kick from Mighty Mouse. Two minutes in. DJ changes levels, avoids an uppercut. Lots of feinting at range. DJ backsteps away from some hooks. Ali tries to counter a leg kick with a takedown but they clinch. Ali pressing DJ against the cage. Two minutes to go. Johnson gets the plum, lands a couple knees. Ali catches the leg as he does so, can't do anything with it. More knees by DJ. Ali catches another leg, again can't makes use of it. Short right hand from Bagautinov. One minute to go. Hard right hand from Ali after a DJ knee. DJ reverses position against the fence. Hard knees from DJ. Ali reverses but gets caught in the plum, eating a few knees before taking DJ down late. DJ gets back to his feet and Ali ends the round with the rear waistlock. 10-9 Johnson.

Round 2: DJ inside low kicks. DJ shoots in, Ali stuff it and presses DJ against the fence. DJ again gets the plum and lands a few knees before separating. One minute in. DJ lands a low kick, steers clear of a retaliatory combination. DJ content to land inside leg kicks and Ali content to play the counter game. Ali high kick blocked, DJ's connects. Counter hook by Ali. Two minutes in. DJ avoids another counter attempt. DJ with some more leg kicks. Nice overhand right by Johnson, Bagautinov lands a counter right of his own. Ali left uppercut falls short, head kick nearly connects. Two minutes to go. Knee upstairs by DJ, Ali wraps him up against the cage. Knees to the legs and body by the Dagestani. DJ denying takedown attempts, landing the occasional knee himself. Knee to the head from DJ, Ali still landing some to the body. One minute to go. Johnson gets the plum, lands a knee and Ali gets in in his hips. Browne elbows by DJ as Ali holds his leg. Knee by DJ and he gets his leg free. Ali uppercut, more knees by DJ. They end the round trading knees to the body. 10-9 Johnson.

Round 3: DJ returns to the low kicks early on. Ali narrowly misses a counter right. Johnson doubles up the left hand, lands a head kick. Back to the cage; Bagautinov in the dominant position but taking more knees than he lands. One minute in. DJ gets double underhooks, then the plum. Knee to the head, then they separate. Two minutes in. Body kick from DJ. Hard counter right hook from the champ. More low kicks. DJ fakes him out with a level change, blocks a head kick. Left by Johnson and again he avoids the counter. Two minutes to go. DJ landing his leg kicks and avoiding effectively all of Ali's return fire. Bagautinov body kick and he suplexes Johnson down. Johnson rises and Ali again eats a knee trying to press him against the cage. One minute to go. Ali punching the body as DJ lands knees upstairs. They split back into center cage. Ali gets in on the legs, eats two more knees to the head. Ali takes Johnson down, but DJ is back up and landing knees and elbows until the bell. 10-9 Johnson.

Round 4: Johnson resumes low kicking. Johnson shoots in, is stuffed but gets the plum and lands knees and an elbow. One minute in. More low kicks from Johnson. Johnson overhand right goes high. High kick blocked. Two minutes in. Ali fires a pair of counters after taking a leg kick, neither land. Ali overhand just misses. DJ lands a body kick. Hard low kick connects. Bagautinov takedown attempt is stuffed. Ali again misses on a right hand. Body kick lands for him. Two minutes to go. Counter right from the champ. Johnson slips on a Brazilian kick and Ali cracks him with a right as he gets to his feet. Ali body kick. Back to the clinch, DJ with knees to the head and Ali with punches to the body. Ali pressing DJ against the cage. One minute to go. More knees by DJ. More clinch jockeying. The last minute consists of knees and elbows by Demetrious, after which he takes Ali's back at the last second. 10-9 Johnson.

Round 5: The pattern of the previous four round continues, DJ chipping away with low kicks in center cage and Ali coming up short with his punches. Nice right hand by Johnson. Uppercut lands for DJ and he denies an Ali takedown. More knees in the clinch from DJ. Nice exchange, more knees from the plum by DJ. Ali catches one, but can't do anything with it. DJ continues landing knees to the head. Two minutes in. DJ changes levels, Ali denies the takedown. Short punches by DJ, then the plum. DJ beating him up in the clinch as he has all fight. DJ makes an unpleasant sound during a battle for position. Two minutes to go. DJ continues battering him from the plum.  More jockeying for position, DJ beating him up all the whilse. Ali lands a counter uppercut and left hook, then shoots in after ducking a wheel kick. Nothing doing and DJ resumed beating him up. 45 to go. They separate. Ali blocks a leg kick, presses DJ against the cage . They split, he shoots again. DJ gets the plum before the bell. 10-9 Johnson.

Final result: Johnson def. Bagautinov by unanimous decision


170 lbs.: Rory MacDonald vs. Tyron Woodley

Round 1: Woodley blocks a front kick. Rory flicking out his jab. Woodley right hand comes up short. They clinch, Woodley lands knees to the body and moves him to the cage. One minute in. Woodley with some foot stomps. More knees from T-Wood. They split a little over nenty seconds in. Rory misses a Brazilian kick. Woodley lands a liver kick. Elbow from MacDonald. Two minutes in. Woodley catches a kick, can't take him down but lands a body kick. MacDonald with a body kick. MacDonald knees the body, Tyron presses him against the cage. Rory escapes. Ninety seconds to go. Tyron catches a body kick, lands a right hand, and briefly takes Rory down. MacDonald body kick blocked. Rory body kick, Woodley right to the body. Rory with a right downstairs as well. Rory keeping him against the cage. High kick blocked. Front kick to the body. Good combo by Rory. 10-9 MacDonald.

Round 2: Rory still utilizing his jab. Axe kick by Rory. Counter right hand from Woodley. Woodley denies a single-leg. Leg kick connects. Another. One minute in. Front kicks to the body by MacDonald. Another leg kick by Woodley and he blocks a Brazilian kick. Right straight downstairs from Rory, liver kick blocked. Stiff jab by MacDonald. Woodley right hands blocked. Rory denies a takedown. Two minutes in. Good punching sequence from Rory. Woodley content to have his back near the fence. Handfighting at range. Rory front kick, Woodley right to the body. Rory with a leg kick of his own. Two minutes to go. Woodley dinging him up with lefts. Woodley low kick. Left hook from Rory. Good jab combination. Woodley has been completely muzzled thus far. Glancing head kick by MacDonald. One minute to go. MacDonald right hand blocked. One to the body lands. Hard right hand lands for Rory, who then taunts Woodley. Dominant round for MacDonald. 10-9 MacDonald.

Round 3: Tyron comes out throwing haymakers, but not landing. One right hand slips through. Nice left hook by Rory. Woodley low kick. One minute in, MacDonald lands a body kick. Woodley body kick is caught. Spinning back kick from Rory is slightly low. Right downstairs from Rory; Woodley came out aggressive but has defaulted back to timidity. Rory takes him down in the center of the cage. Two minutes in, Rory on top in guard. Woodley controlling posture, but not offering anything in return. Two minutes to go. Woodley controlling his wrists. Rory stands, avoids upkicks and lands a left hand as he descends into guard. Once more, right hand this time. One minute to go. Woodley sits up for a takedown, gives up mount. Rory bumped into side control. Rory has one arm pinned with his legs and proceeds to drop unimpeded right hands until the bell. 10-9 Macdonald.

Final result: MacDonald def. Woodley by unanimous decision


205 lbs.: Ryan Bader vs. Rafael Cavalcante

Round 1: Feijao starts with an inside low kick. Bader falls short with a left hook. Bader high kick blocked. Bader shoots in and briefly gets Feijao down; Feijao uses the fence to stand but Bader has the rear waistlock. Knees to the butt from Bader. He lifts Feijao but can't keep him down. More knees to the butt. Ninety seconds in. Bader repeatedly tripping Feijao down, but the Brazilian getting up quickly. Bader continuing to work the thighs, lands an elbow as Feijao exits. Feijao narrowly misses with a huge punch. Bader with a right downstairs. Two minutes to go. Counter right by Feijao. Left hook hits forearm. Both land hard jabs. Bader hits a blast double into half guard. Feijao scoots to the cage, turtles. One minute to go. Bader landing short left hands. He's targeting the body well. Round ends there as Bader lands a big knee to the body. 10-9 Bader.

Round 2: Feijao moving forward, lands a spinning back kick. Bader high kick blocked and Feijao stuffs a double leg. Feijao falls short on a right, moves into the clinch. They separate, then Bader does the same. They split up soon after. Ninety seconds in. Lead left from Bader and he completes a double leg against the cage. Two minutes in. Feijao on one knee, Bader kneeing the rear. Feijao explodes up and they separate. Two minutes to go. Feijao whiffs on a left hook, Bader lands a right. Feijao comes up short again with a right. Bader pops him with a right straight, gets stuffed on a takedown attempt. Feijao lands a cross. One minute to go. Bader overhand blocked, Feijao's is also denied. Bader with a right to the body. Harder one next. Bader shoots in and completes a takedown against the fence. Round ends with Bader on top in guard. 10-9 Bader.

Round 3: Feijao moving forward, cracks Bader with a 3-2. Bader shoots in, can't complete the takedown. Feijao marching forward with big punches and sprawls on a double. Bader tries a trip, eats some Browne elbows while pressing Feijao against the cage. Ninety seconds in. They separate, Bader slipping as he does. Bader shoots in yet again, presses his man against the cage. Two minutes in. Feijao with an upward elbow. Ref separates them. Bader left hand blocked and he shoots again. Back to the fence. Bader completes this one and is on top in half guard. Two minutes to go. Bader landing some short shots to the body. Feijao regains full guard. One minute to go. Bader continues to land short punches. Round ends in that position. 10-9 Bader.

Final result: Bader def. Cavalcante by unanimous decision


265 lbs.: Andrei Arlovski vs. Brendan Schaub

Round 1: Andrei moves into the clinch against the cage. He has over-unders and lands some short knees. One minute in. They separate thirty seconds later. Overhand right and left from Schaub. Low kick from Andrei. Two minutes in. They clinch up and Andrei again pushes him against the fence. Knees from both. They separate without anything dramatic happening. Two minutes to go. Nice left hook by Schaub. Overhand right is blocked. Oblique kick from Andrei and he attempts an outside trip with no success. One minute to go. Andrei falls short with a right. Andrei ducks an overhand and moves Schaub to the cage yet again. Knees again, nothing too devastating. Andrei lands a short right on the exit. Andrei easily stuffs a takedown before the bell. 10-9 Arlovksi.

Round 2: Schaub jab, Arlovksi lands an inside low kick that catches cup. Brief pause for Brendan's nuts. Both whiff on punches. Schaub lands a glancing overhand right. Arlovski lands a right to the body and they return to the position in which they spent most of the first round. They separate around ninety seconds in. Schaub narrowly misses with an overhand right. Arlovski lands a right of his own. Schaub high kick blocked. Same from Arlovski. Left hook by Andrei, then one to the body as Schaub steps in for an overhand right. Brendan tries another overhand and moves Arlovski to the fence when they tie up. Two minutes to go. Andrei reverses position; Schaub counters with a double leg, but Andrei is quickly back to his feet. Both whiff on right hands. One minute to go. Schaub misses another right hand. Hard right uppercut by Brendan. Clinch. Counter right from Andrei. He lands an overhand at the bell. 10-9 Arlovski.

Round 3: Schaub again whiffs on an overhand right. Yet again. Counter left from Arlovski as Brendan steps in. Head contact prompts a pause. One minute in. Back to the clinch, Andrei pressing him against the cage. Schaub gets double underhooks and takes Andrei down. Schaub on top in guard. He lands some short punches; Andrei seems content to just get wrist control as he takes punches. Two minutes in. More GnP from Brendan, still no effort to get up from Andrei. Two minutes to go. Some of these are good shots, although nothing fight-ending. Finally, Andrei kicks him away with seventy seconds left, only for Schaub to press him against the cage. Andrei reverses. They separate with thirty seconds left. Schaub ducks a right hand into a takedown attempt that fails. They exchange briefly afterwards and Andrei stops a takedown before the bell. Underwhelming fight. 10-9 Schaub.

Final result: Arlovski def. Schaub by split decision


205 lbs.: Ryan Jimmo vs. Ovince St. Preux

Round 1: Jimmo starts with an inside low kick. OSP body kick blocked. OSP with a hard left to the body after avoiding a right. OSP moves him to the fence with punches. Hard lead straight from OSP. On eminute in. Jimmo lands a low kick and lead right, moving into the clinch. Jimmo pressing him against the cage with the bodylock, landing short punches. Good right hand over the top. OSP gets an underhook and reverses position. Two minutes in. Jimmo regains double unders and reverses, but eats a knee and breaks away. Jimmo body kick, OSP head kick blocked. Two minutes to go. They trade leg kicks. OSP lands an overhand left. Body kick by OSP as Jimmo lands a left straight. Jimmo low kick. One minute to go. Body kick lands. Another one, then a low kick. OSP sneaks in an uppercut against he fence and gets in deep on a double leg, taking down Jiimmo against the cage. Jimmo turtling, stands before the bell. 10-9 St. Preux.

Round 2: Jimmo starts with a low kick, lands a right hand after taking a body kick. Both narrowly miss with their power hands. OSP high kick blocked. Both land low kicks and OSP drops Jimmo with a left hand. OSP sets up in guard and quickly moves to half guard. One minute in. OSP takes mount and Jimmo gives up his back soon after. OSP with one hook in. Jimmo turtles, takes some shots, and informs the ref that his arm is broken as OSP starts to crank on it. Verbal submission win for St. Preux.

Final result: St. Preux def. Jimmo by submission (broken arm)


170 lbs.: Kiichi Kunimoto vs. Daniel Sarafian

Round 1: Kunimoto low kick. Another. Sarafian buzzes him with a right-left combo. Another low kick by Strasser. One minute in. Kunimoto presses him against the cage in a takedown attempt. Kunimoto has the bodylock. Sarafian staying on his feet so far. After a minute of work, Kunimoto trips him down and establishes in guard. Sarafian controlling the head with a guillotine after Kunimoto passes to half guard. Side control now; Sarafian gives up his back trying to escape and Kunimoto quickly locks up the RNC. Sarafian taps and the biggest underdog on the card outside the main event has scored the upset. Great work by Kunimoto.

Final result: Kunimoto def. Sarafian by submission (rear-naked choke)


135 lbs.: Valerie Letourneau vs. Elizabeth Phillips

Round 1: Phillips moving forward early, moves Valerie into the cage. Letourneau cracks her with a knee and exits. Stiff jab from Phillips. Phillips high kick blocked, as is Letourneau's answer. Good 1-2 by Phillips. One minute in. Letourneau inside low kick. Hard straight by Phillips; she tries to press the advantage, eats a couple punches for her trouble. Hard right hand by Phillips. Nice right by Letourneau; both women landing good punches. Front kick by Phillips, counter right hand. They trade punches in center cage. Another big right hand by Elizabeth. Two minutes in. Phillips' pressure working well. 1-2 lands. Letourneau landing jabs, but unable to maintain distance. Another 1-2 by Letourenau. Phillips tries to shoot in, misses wide. Two minutes to go. Another good exchange inside. Again; both landing well. Phillips low kick. Letourneau high kick blocked. One minute to go. Uppercut from Letourneau. INside low kick by Letournaeu, Phillips moves her to the cage. Letourneau controls her head well and they separate. Good right by Phillips. High kick is blocked; Letourneau rocks her with one of her own and they end the round swinging. 10-9 Phillips.

Round 2: Letourneau's left eye is swollen something awful.

Letourneau lands a good uppercut and cross. Front kick to the face by Phillips, Letourneau tries and fails to score a takedown. Phillips right hand. Letourneau lands another cross, Phillips moves her to the cage. One minute in. Phillips has one underhook. Letourneau briefly looks for a Kimura grip. Letourneau knees the body and escapes off a failed takedown attempt. Phillips low kick and they trade right hands. Two minutes in. ANother uppercut by Letourneau. Letourneau maintaining range much better this round. Nice exchange, Letourneau gets the better of it. Letourneau uppercut, Phillips overhand right. Once again. Two minutes to go. Letourneau lands a glancing head kick. Another uppercut-straight exchange. Letourneau's winning the exchanges with very good consistently. Phillips high kick blocked. Combo by Letourneau. BIG knee to the head from Letourneau. Minute to go. Another right by Letourneau. Standing elbow lands. Stiff jab, Phillips lands a right. Yet another uppercut from Letourneau and they trade before the bell. 10-9 Letourneau.

Round 3: Phillips moves in with a takedown attempt, eats a knee for her trouble. Punching exchange, Letourneau wins. Hard elbow by Letourneau and she's pouring it on. Phillips firing back. Another right by Letourneau. One minute in. Letourneau landing that uppercut at will at this point. Letourneau with a four-punch combination. Phillips moves her to the cage once again. Letourneau knees the body. Two minutes in. Phillips landing sporadic knees as Phillips tries to get the bodylock. Valerie lands a brief trip and an elbow before they separate. Letourneau body kicks. Two minutes to go. Letourneau cross and she's slipping Phillips' right hands. Phillips steps in with long punches. Good exchange in center cage. Letourneau's jab connecting. One minute to go. Letourneau high kick blocked. Nice left hook from Valerie. Phillips still marching forward and lands a right hand over the top. Letourneau answers with a combination and they end throwing. 10-9 Letourneau.

135 lbs.: Mike Easton vs. Yves Jabouin

Round 1: Both throwing jabs, neither connecting. Easton takes a finger in the eye while throwing a combo. Both miss with haymakers. Right to the body by Easton and a good leg kick. Jabouin jab, overhand right by Easton. Easton in pursuit with big shots and hurts Jabouin with a right hand. Jabouin takes him down into butterfly guard. One minute in. Easton controlling posture. Easton using the butterfly hooks to move Jabouin around, can't get up and takes an elbow. Two minutes in. Easton scoots to the cage and uses it to stand. Jabouin with double underhooks against the cage. Easton knees the body. Jabouin trips him down, can't keep him there and lands a knee to the body before they separate. Back to the clinch. Easton knees the body but gets reversed on a takedown attempt. Two minutes to go. Jabouin heavy on top but inactive. Easton with wrist control, eats a good elbow and makes enough room to stand. Jabouin left hook and body kick. Easton stops a takdown and trips Jabouin down. Easton into side control. Easton tries to work on an arm but Jabouin gets to his feet. Spinning kick misses by the Canuck. Good uppercut lands. Easton knee. Elbow misses for Jabouin. Body kick connects before the bell. 10-9 Jabouin.

Round 2: Easton oblique kick to start. Counter left hook by Jabouin, front kick to the body. Easton falls short with punches. Hard uppercut from Jabouin. Right hand misses. Easton advancing but so far not making contact. Body kick from Jabouin. Easton with a body knee. One minute in, Jabouin with an elbow inside. Easton low kick and a takedown that Jabouin stops. Jabouin with front headlock, attempts to take the back. Easton in turtle position, Jabouin with the seatbelt. Easton gets to his feet against the cage, gets tripped back down. Short punches by Jabouin. Two minutes in. Easton with a couple of knees to the body and presses Jabouin against the cage. Jabouin reverses and lands some good dirty boxing. Elbow, head kick, spinning back kick from Jabouin. Yves pops him with an elbow and a huge right hand. Another one. Easton taking some big shots, gets taken down again. Two minutes to go. Jabouin on top in half guard. Jabouin not throwing much from the top. Minute to go. Hard elbow lands for Yves. Ref stands them up with forty seconds to go. Yves lands a pair of jabs. Easton left hook lands. Hard counter right by Jabouin, who is eating Easton up at range. Easton wading in, eats a spinning back kick to the body before the bell. 10-9 Jabouin.

Round 3: Jabouin left hook, Easton right hand. Left hook, body kick, takedown attempt from Jabouin. Head kick blocked. Elbow lands, Easton lands a right hand and a glancing spinning backfist. Jabouin moves into the clinch and Easton chisels away at the body. Jockeying for position against the cage, One minute in. Easton doing some nice dirty boxing. Jabouin lands a knee. Easton looking for a single leg, eats an elbow. Body knee lands for Easton and he abandons the takedown. More body blows, Jabouin whacks him with knees as they separate. Big body shots from Jabouin. Two minutes in. Knee to the head, left hook from Yves. Yves shoots in and completes a double leg. Easton working hard to stand, gives up his back. Jabouin has one hook in but is in a bit of a precarious spot. Two minutes to go. They turn, Jabouin takes half guard and Easton grabs a Kimura. It's deep and he forces Yves to roll over. Easton in side control, lets go of the arm. Short body blows by Easton. One minute to go. Yves nearly rolls him over, cannot do so. Easton with body knees, moves into north-south. Jabouin regains guard. Jabouin controlling posture to end the fight. 10-9 Easton.

Final result: Jabouin def. Easton by unanimous decision


155 lbs.: Kajan Johnson vs. Tae Hyun Bang

Round 1: Counter right by Bang, Johnson lands one of his own in the same exchange. Head kick glances off of Bang, leading to a scramble. Bang cracks him with a couple punches as Johnson regains his balance. One minute in. Johnson shoots in and completes a single-leg. Johnson in side control, Bang clinging to a guillotine grip on the opposite side. Bang uses it to flip him over and he holds the front headlock until Johnson stands. Both land right hands. Good exchanges in center cage. Two minutes in. Head kick blocked from Johnson and Bang drops him hard with a left hook. Johnson shoots in; he nearly completes it but Bang sprawls gets the front headlock. Quick scramble when Bang tries to take his back and they return to their feet. Right hand to the body from Bang. 1-2 by Bang. Kajan pursues a takedown, settles for a knee to the body. Ninety seconds to go. Left hook by Johnson, Bang answers. Johnson lands a knee to the body and a strong right straight. Johnson moves in and completes a trip into side control. Bang controlling the forearms, manages to stand at the bell. 10-9 Bang.

Round 2: Teep from Johnson. Head kick blocked. Leg kick lands. Both land jabs. Whiffed exchange. Counter straight by Kajan connects. One minute in. Johnson pops him with a jab each to the head and body. Overhand right lands for Bang and he sprawls on a takedown. Another right gets Johnson's attention and prompts a takedown attempt. He completes it, but Bang uses the same guillotine reversal to get on top in half guard. Halfway through the round, Bang landing some ground-and-pound. Johnson turns for a heel hook, Bang escapes but Johnson tries a calf slicer. Bang again gets out and Johnson gets the body lock. Johnson pops him with a right and takes him down into side control, Bang again holding onto the guillotine. Bang gets to his feet quickly. Both men bleeding, Bang moreso. Johnson jabbing. One minute to go. Bang whiffs on a spinning backfist and looks bushed. Bang throws a couple of tired-looking kicks at the bell. 10-9 Johnson.

Round 3: Counter right hand by Bang makes Johson slip. Another one connects. One minute in. Johnson high kick blocked. Johnson ducks a punch, Bang denies the takedown. Johnson jab. Counter right and head kick by Johnson, but Bang puts him to sleep with a huge overhand right while off-balance. They fall together, but Big John recognizes that it's over. Hell of a shot by the Korean.

135 lbs.: Roland Delorme vs. Michinori Tanaka

Round 1: Tanaka circling quite a bit. Lead right by Delorme just misses. He tries to rush, does not connect. Leg kick from Tanaka, who looks much smaller than Delorme. One minute in. Tanaka rushes in, but does not commit to the takedown. Good right hand by Delorme knocks Tanaka down and Delorme hops into mount. Delorme goes for the back and Tanaka reverses quickly into guard. Two minutes in. Delorme working for a triangle. Tanaka puts his arm back between the legs and drops a punch. Delorme works towards the cage and briefly threatens another triangle. Short elbows from Tanaka. Three minutes in. Delorme trying to use the cage to stand but Tanaka doing a good job keeping him down. Short punches by Tanaka connect. Elbows as well. One minute to go. Tanaka moves Deorme away from the cage, Delorme locks up a wrist. Tanaka breaks the grip and just misses with a big right hand. Tanaka ends the round on top with punches. 10-9 Tanaka.

Round 2: Nice right hand by Tanaka early. He briefly slips, then cracks Delorme with a cross counter. Delorme trying to wave him on. One minute in. Tanaka slips a right hand and avoids a left hook. Tanaka shoots in, can't get it but presses Delorme against the cage. Delorme tries to maneuver him into position for a knee but Tanaka uses it to trip him down. Tanaka on top in full guard against the cage. Two minutes in. Tanaka with some body-body-head and again turns Delorme away from the fence. Good lefts by Tanaka. He hops into half guard. Two minutes to go. Quick scramble, Tanaka stays on top of him. He hops straight to mount from half guard. Delorme regains half guard as Tanaka tries to get an arm-triangle. Delorme's cut. Tanaka landing punches and elbows. One minute to go. Delorme is active off his back, just unable to budge Tanaka, who's still dropping elbows. Round ends, 10-9 Tanaka.

Round 3: Tanaka still circling. Delorme unable to close the distance. Body kick from Tanaka is blocked. One minute in. Tanaka shoots in, nearly takes his back standing but settles for a throw into half guard. Delorme flips him over, Tanaka stays attached to him and takes side control. Quick scramble and Delorme takes top position. Side control, now mount. Two minutes in. Tanaka again reverses into guard. Delorme looks for a triangle, Tanaka snuffs it out. Punches from Tanaka. Two minutes to go. Delorme trying to get free, gives up half guard. Nice elbows by Anaka. Tanaka takes mount as Delorme tries to turn into him. Delorme quickly hip escapes into half guard. One minute to go, Tanaka continuing to drop punches whenever Delorme tries to improve position. Hard right hand as Delorme tries to stand. Delorme makes it to his feet, Tanaka takes him right back down and drops punches on him against the cage. Tanaka trying for a rear-naked choke in the waning seconds, can't lock it in. 10-9 Tanaka.

Final result: Tanaka def. Delorme by unanimous decision


155 lbs.: Jason Saggo vs. Josh Shockley

Round 1: Shockley looks like Jonathan Brookins' hippie-er brother.

Saggo starts out flicking out kicks. Shockley tries to rush, falls short. Saggo takes a teep and shoots in. Saggo can't finish the single and moves to the bodylock, tossing the big man down into side control. One minute in. Saggo pops into mount and Shockley quickly regains butterfly guard. He nearly kicks his way free but Saggo stays on him. Shockley gives up his back rolling away but again regains butterfly. Shockley throwing his legs up and tries to get up, giving up side control. Two minutes in and Saggo is back in mount. Shockley gets a knee shield in and works back to half guard. Not much GnP. Saggo passes to side, Shockley uses the pass to stand up and get a bodylock against the fence. Shockley with some knees to the legs and body. Over-under control against the cage. Ninety seconds to go and Saggo hits an inside trip. Saggo on top in half guard, drops a good punch. Stands to pass, settles for getting back into half guard. Shockley once again gives up his back turning into him before rolling back into half guard. Saggo takes mount and the back. Saggo with thirty seconds to work and dropping punches. Shockley turning from mount to back trying to wriggle free, but settles for simply covering his head as Saggo pounds away. Referee warns Shockley to improve position and stops it when he doesn't comply. Excellent work by Saggo.

Final result: Saggo def. Shockley by TKO (punches)
