Gegard Mousasi submitted Mark Munoz in the main event of today's (Sat., May 31, 2014) UFC Fight Night 41 showcase on UFC Fight Pass from O2 World in Berlin, Germany. It took him just 3:57 into the opening round to do it, capping off a dominant few minutes of force with a rear-naked choke that forced "The Filipino Wrecking Machine" to admit defeat with a light tap of the mat. Coming into the bout, both had visions of top contender status at 185-pounds dancing in their heads. And while it's entirely possible "The Dreamcatcher" is nowhere near a title shot, he also took a giant step up the middleweight ladder, one he had previously struggled to gain solid footing on. There are plenty of potentially big fights awaiting him down the road in a wide open division. Another win like this one will surely put him in the title shot discussion. Right?
