Mark Munoz wasted no time looking for a takedown. He failed on attempt one but succeeded through sheer force of will on attempt two. He went low, grabbed Gegard Mousasi's leg, and picked him up for a slam.
Note: he wasn't able to capitalize on it in any meaningful way.
What's more, Mousasi simply reestablished standing and went about having his way with Munoz. That includes dominating the position battle, working a neck crank, passing to back control, then locking in a choke.
And getting a tap.
Just like that.
Mousasi wins via submission in round one.
