Mark Munoz vs. Gegard Mousasi staredown pic from UFC Fight Night 41 weigh ins in Berlin

Cordial now, violent tomorrow.

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has wrapped up the official weigh in event for its long-awaited return to Germany, featuring Gegard Mousasi vs. Mark Munoz in the UFC Fight Night 41 headliner inside O2 World Arena in Berlin, scheduled for tomorrow (Sat., May 31, 2014), live on Fight Pass.

Yes, that's the same day as The Ultimate Fighter (TUF): "Brazil 3" finale (those weigh ins right here).

Munoz (13-4) is hanging on by a thread, at least in terms of contending for the division title. He was able to bounce back from a devastating loss to Chris Weidman in July 2012 by out-muscling Tim Boetsch last summer. Unfortunately, "The Filipino Wrecking Machine" was unable to keep that momentum going and got put to sleep by light heavyweight import Lyoto Machida back in October.

At 36 years old, a loss in Berlin could send him to the back of the line for good.

That's not to suggest it has been all wine and roses for Mousasi (34-4). "The Dreamcatcher" was able to win his Octagon debut, but slapping around Ilir Latifi was akin to Daniel Cormier beating up a barista. It counts, but doesn't do much in terms of forward momentum.

Then came February's loss to "The Dragon," which doesn't seem to have dampened his spirits.

Should be interesting.

In addition to "Munoz vs. Machida," UFC Fight Night 41 is also slated to feature a middleweight match up pitting Luke Barnatt against Sean Strickland, as well as CB Dollaway vs. Francis Carmont, while Pawel Pawlak and Peter Sobotta hook 'em up in welterweight action.
