Later this evening (Sat., May 3, 2014) at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, pound-for-pound boxing emperor Floyd Mayweather (45-0, 26 KO) takes on one of the fiercest puglists in the sport, Argentina's power-punching Marcos Maidana (35-3, 31 KO).

Mayweather was last seen trouncing "Canelo" Alvarez, earning a career-high payday in the process and handing the young superstar his first professional defeat. Maidana, meanwhile, most recently demolished Mayweather understudy Adrien Broner in Dec. 2013.

Floyd doing well with left hooks while his back's on the ropes. Both men land high and low. Clinch in the last ten seconds. Round ends, 10-9 Maidana.

Round two: Floyd continuing to jab the body well. Maidana jabbing as well, eats a lead right. Hard check hook by Floyd. One minute in.
