Diego Brandao can't catch a break.
After missing the chance to compete in front of his hometown fans back in March, thanks to the drama surrounding Will Chope, The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 14 champ will once again fail to reach a local event within striking distance, this time due to injury.
UFC announced the change earlier today.
"DB" was expected to face Brian Ortega on the TUF: "Brazil 3" Finale "Prelims" on May 31, 2014, inside the Ibirapuera Gymnasium in Sao Paulo, Brazil. That contest has been put on hold for the time being and the event will continue on with 12 bouts.

Brandao hasn't been seen since a knockout loss to Dustin Poirier last December. Ortega, meanwhile, was making his Octagon debut after racking up an undefeated record with Resurrection Fighting Alliance (RFA) and various other mixed martial arts (MMA) promotions on the regional circuit.
