The Bellator mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion is making its pay-per-view (PPV) debut this Saturday night (May 17, 2014) inside Landers Center in Southaven, Mississippi, but had to make a few last-minute changes to the fight card after an injury bounced one of its headliners (more on that here).
But that shouldn't stop you from ordering the show, which starts at $34.99, because the new main event will feature the "baddest fighter out of Memphis," Quinton Jackson, taking on former Strikeforce light heavyweight champion and bitter rival, Muhammed Lawal.
"Rampage" talks to Sherdog.com:
"My fight alone is going to be worth the pay-per-view. This is one of the few grudge matches going on right now in MMA where [the fighters] honestly don't like each other. I'm going to put on an exciting fight, and I'm going to be coming at him the second the bell rings. I'm going to show Memphis that I'm the baddest fighter out of Memphis. I want the world to know. I'm going to be on him like white on rice, and that's something that you haven't seen me do in a long time. I'm going to dictate this whole pace. I have a statement to make, and I think that's worth it, right there."
Jackson is 2-0 under the Bellator banner while "King Mo" is 4-2.
These two have a history dating back to their infamous van ride in 2009, which was moderated by then-Strikeforce prospect Bobby Lashley (watch it). They later squashed their beef, but renewed their rivalry after Jackson signed with Bellator MMA.
Then came their post-fight melee at Bellator 110 (video).

Anyone?
