UFC Fight Night 40 bonuses: Matt Brown and Johnny Eduardo grab 'Performance,' Brown vs. Erick Silva is 'Fight of the Night'

UFC is giving away $9.8 million every year, $50,000 at a time. Here's who got some Mother's Day moola in "Queen City."

Joe Maiorana-USA TODAY Sports

UFC Fight Night 40: "Brown vs. Silva" from inside the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio, has officially wrapped, which means it's time for those select fighters who went above and beyond in their respective fights to get a little extra grease for their efforts.

To the tune of $50,000 each.

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) dished out its standard post-fight monetary bonuses to three of the 26 fighters on the May 10, 2014 fight card. And it's probably no surprise who's heading home with a second sack of simoleons, thanks to the promotion's new post-fight bonus structure.

Matt Brown and Johnny Eduardo scored "Performance of the Night" bonuses for their respective finishes.

Brown doubled-up on his cash by destroying Erick Silva with a technical knockout finish that also nabbed him "Fight of the Night" honors (watch the highlights here). Eduardo was able to make bank by stopping Eddie Wineland on the FOX Sports 2 "Prelims" portion of the card.

Here are the special UFC Fight Night 40 bonuses:

Performance of the Night -- Johnny Eduardo

Performance of the Night -- Matt Brown

Fight of the Night -- Matt Brown vs. Erick Silva

Again, each fighter received $50,000 extra for their performances in addition to their respective base salaries, which we will pass along as soon as that information becomes available.
