Insane flying knee knockouts, devastating knockout blows and shoulder-popping arm cranks -- all that and more was showcased at UFC 172: "Jones vs. Teixeira," which took place this past weekend (Sat., April 26, 2014) inside Baltimore Arena in Baltimore, Maryland.
Indeed, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) recently took "Charm City" by storm, much like its Light Heavyweight champion, Jon Jones, did to Glover Teixeira for five rounds in their main action-packed main event (watch full video highlights here).
"Hands of Stone" took a licking but kept on ticking, but it wasn't remotely close enough to usurp the crown of the dominant young champion ... and Ray Lewis impersonator.
Elsewhere on the card, Anthony Johnson returned from exile to teach top 205-pound contender, Phil Davis, a lesson in focus (watch full video highlights here), while former Strikeforce middleweight champion Luke Rockhold made grizzled Octagon veteran, Tim Boetsch, look like anything but a "Barbarian" (watch full submission highlights here).
In addition, Jim Miller put Yancy Medeidos down for an early nap near the start of the pay-per-view (PPV) portion of the card (watch full video highlights here), not the thanks for which the Brazilian sought after stepping up on just one week's notice.
That's not all. Chris Beal, anyone? Oh, how about Danny Castillo? Check, check and CHECK IT OUT.
