Tim Kennedy used a grappling heavy game to wrestle his way to a unanimous decision victory (49-46, 49-46, and 50-45) over Michael Bisping in the main event of tonight's (Wed., April 16, 2014) The Ultimate Fighter (TUF): "Nations" Finale from Quebec City, Quebec, Canada, live on Fox Sports 1. It was a brutally boring fight, mostly because Kennedy knew he could simply take Bisping down and work from top to score points en route to earning a decision victory, which is what happened. It was on "The Count" to get up off his back and make a fight of it. He did that in the second round, winning it on two of the judges cards, but failed to do so in the other four. Obviously that meant dropping a decision and moving to 2-3 in his late five bouts inside the Octagon. Every time it seems he could be inching closer to the top, he's cut out at the knees. Did you know he doesn't hold a victory over any active fighter currently on the UFC roster? That's the state of his career now. As for Kennedy, he likely made no fans with this performance, but he did improve his UFC record to 3-0. Dull or not, he's moving on up the middleweight ladder.
