Bellator returns for its second event of season 10, with a bantamweight title fight in the main event.
Bellator 111: "Dantas vs. Leone" takes place TONIGHT (Fri., March 7, 2014) on Spike TV, live from WinStar World Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma.
The headlining bout features Bellator bantamweight champion Eduardo Dantas against Anthony Leone, who steps in as a replacement for 2013 Summer Series Tournament winner Rafael Silva after the latter suffered an injury.
Rounding up the main card will be the opening round of the heavyweight tournament, as UFC castoff Lavar Johnson looks for his first win inside the Bellator cage when he squares off against hard-hitting Ryan Martinez.
Also competing in this season's tournament is famed kickboxing legend Siala-Mou Siliga, better known as "Mighty Mo," who will be looking to make it three-straight wins in Bellator when he faces Peter Graham, while former Bellator heavyweight champion Alexander Volkov takes on Mark Holota.

BELLATOR 111 LIVE PLAY-BY-PLAY:
135 lbs.: Eduardo Dantas vs. Anthony Leone
Round 1: Your ref is Jason Herzog. Both bantamweights come out orthodox. Both are playing the waiting game, with the champ cautious. Leone catches a kick from Dantas, swings wildly with the right hand and ends up taking the champ down. Dantas is doing well off of his back, trying to scramble. Leone somewhat neutralized in full guard. Dantas attacking from the bottom, with Leone is working the head and body. Dantas flirting with the butterfly guard often. Herzog warns them to keep working. Some short elbows from Leone until the bell sounds.
Round 2: Dantas doing better in the second round, stuffing a takedown attempt and looks more eager to strike. Leone's posture is a bit stiff, and Leone tries to explode forward after his opponent slips. Dantas lands a few good jabs, while Leone swings wildly with his right hand. Dantas with a good right hand. Leone tries a spinning back fist, and then immediately goes for the takedown. Leone goes for the single-leg, and as he works for it, Dantas has his back towards him as he is standing up. Dantas steps backwards, with hooks in, and locks in a rear-naked choke. Holy schnikes, that was crazy.
Final results: Dantas wins by submission (rear-naked choke) at 2:04 of round two.

265 lbs.: Lavar Johnson vs. Ryan Martinez
Round 1: Big Dan is your ref with both fighters in orthodox stance. Martinez presses forward and they're clinched up against the fence. Martinez has his back up against the cage, but throws Johnson down. Martinez is in half guard and starts to throw short punches to the head and body. Hammerfists from Martinez, but Johnson seems to be alright. Martinez postures up and those left hammerfists are still out in full force. Johnson makes his way back up and swings for the fences. He catches Martinez, and closes distance with a clinch. Johnson with a big right hand, and Martinez counters with a right. Johnson decks Martinez with a combination and a shot catches Martinez right behind the ear -- forcing the off-balance Martinez to fall. Johnson hits him with some more shots for good measure and Miragliotta steps in.
Final results: Johnson wins by TKO (punches) 4:22 of round one.

265 lbs.: Peter Graham vs. Mighty Mo
Round 1: Your referee is Big Dan for this one. Both kickboxers come out orthodox. Mo is pressing, while Graham works the leg kicks. Mo goes for the single-leg takedown and Graham stuffs it. Graham has Mo clinched up against the cage, working short knees. Graham throws him off and Mo is back on his feet. Graham is working kicks to the body, being the more active fighter. Mo working the jab and misses a huge overhand right. Graham is circling well and he's battering Mo's left leg with kicks constantly. Mo lands a left hand and an uppercut. Graham trying to take out the left leg. Mo lands a serious left hook, followed by another. Good right hand by Graham. Headkick misses by Graham. They both land right hands towards the end and they already look tired.
Round 2: They clinch together right away. Mo pits Graham up against the fence, securing a single-leg takedown. Mo hanging out in the closed guard and he's not really doing much. Mo lands a few right hands, while Graham doesn't look too eager to get back up. Mo is landing some shots to the body. Graham gets back up to his feet and they're back circling in the clinch. Short uppercuts by both in the center of the cage. Mo swings heavily and misses with a right hand. Graham still has the advantage here, relentlessly working those leg kicks and lands a front kick. Both dudes look mad sluggish. Back in the clinch, Graham lands a high knee. Graham with a nice combo, but Mo takes him down and goes into side control. He troubles Graham with a keylock, however he doesn't have good positioning and the bell sounds.
Round 3: Graham keeping his distance, still working those kicks. Mo clinches and lands another single-leg. Mo is in side control, literally doing nothing. He raises his right hand high, however it looks more like a scare tactic. Mo has Graham in a neck crank with his head and arm locked, and Graham taps. Kind of weird and out of nowhere.
Final results: Mo wins by submission (head and arm choke) at 2:31 of round three.

265 lbs.: Alexander Volkov vs. Mark Holata
Round 1: Jason Herzog is your referee. Both fighters come out orthodox. Holata is in punching range and starts to unload. Volkov covers up and Holata brings him up against the fence. Volkov is throwing good knees to the body in the clinch. Volkov nails him with short left hands to the chin and Holata slowly starts to crumble. Volkov starts raining down left punches and finishes off Holata who was badly hurt.
Final results: Volkov wins by TKO (punches) at 1:21 of round one.
