Abbasov went 2-2 in his first four professional fights but then went on a three year winning streak securing victories with promotions including Cage Warriors and Pro FC.

Abbasov's debut is set to take place at ONE FC: "Honor & Glory" at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on May 30. No opponent has been announced but the main contenders in the middleweight division at present are Leandro Ataides, Tatsuya Mizuno and Melvin Manhoef.
