Dan Henderson knocked out Shogun Rua in round three of their light heavyweight fight in the main event of tonight's (Sun., Mar. 23, 2014) UFC Fight Night 38 showcase from Natal, Brazil, on Fox Sports 1. That's the short version. The long(er) version is "Hendo", who defeated his Brazilian rival in their first meeting via decision, weathered an early storm in the form of two knockdowns -- once in the opening frame and once in the second round -- en route to scoring a vicious knockout shortly into round three. One of those patented "H-Bombs" landed clean on the button and there does not exist a human who can take one of those clean and do anything other than get knocked silly. Sure enough, Rua went flying back and Henderson's follow up sealed the deal. The win snapped a three fight losing streak. Shogun, meanwhile, has lost three of his last four and continues to tread water at 205-pounds. I'll let you Maniacs decide if a move to middleweight could reinvigorate his career but for now, he's off to recover from the busted beak he's now suffering through.
