Lance Benoist vs Bobby Voelker on tap for UFC Fight Night on June 7 in Albuquerque

Loser leaves town?

Tom Szczerbowski-US PRESSWIRE

Now that we have our main event, it's time to start filling up the rest of the fight card.

Struggling Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight Lance Benoist will try to avoid falling into an 0-3 hole when he throw hands against Strikeforce import Bobby Voelker at the promotion's upcoming UFC Fight Night event on June 7, 2014, at Tingley Coliseum in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

UFC officials announced the 170-pound pairing earlier this week.

Benoist (6-2) got off on the right foot with a unanimous decision win over Matt Riddle in his Octagon debut; however, the Missourian has since dropped back-to-back decisions to Seth Baczynski and Sean Pierson. One more and he could find himself on the unemployment line.

He's not the only one.

Despite a promising start for Scott Coker and Co., Voelker (24-11) is one loss away from his golden sombrero, dropping three straight fights since making his UFC debut just over a year ago. In addition, "Vicious" is rapidly approaching his 35th birthday and can't afford another setback.

It's now or never.

UFC Fight Night in Albuquerque will be headlined by former UFC lightweight champion Ben Henderson as he tries to stay alive in the 155-pound title hunt against surging division prospect Rustam Khabilov. Expect more "Fight Night" announcements to be revealed in the coming weeks.

Stay tuned.
