Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is headed back to San Antonio.
While the world's largest combat sports promotion has yet to host an actual mixed martial arts (MMA) event in "River City," it did kick over a few rocks during its "20 days to UFC 167" media tour last November.
That's about to change.
UFC President Dana White recently announced a "Fight Night" card for the second most populous city in the state of Texas, which is scheduled to go down inside the AT&T Center on June 28, 2014, and is expected to air on FOX Sports 1 and Fight Pass.
No bouts have been assembled at this time.
The promotion just tied a ribbon around its most recent pay-per-view (PPV) event in "The Lone Star State," sending local hero Johny Hendricks into a five-round war against Robbie Lawler for the vacant 170-pound strap. See how they did -- along with the rest of the results from Dallas -- in our UFC 171 wrap-up post right here.
See you in San Antonio!
