Ben Henderson vs Rustam Khabilov booked for June 7 at Tingley Coliseum in Albuquerque

Forget that left turn, Bugs, just stay in Albuquerque altogether and watch some fights.

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight champion Ben Henderson will hook 'em up against Rustam Khabilov in the main event of the promotion's UFC Fight Night event on June 7, 2014, at Tingley Coliseum in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Albuquerque Journal first brought word of the announcement earlier today.

Henderson (20-3) got back into the win column earlier this year with a close split-decision win over Josh Thomson at the UFC on FOX 10 event in Chicago. "Smooth" coughed up his 155-pound title to Anthony Pettis (again) in the main event of UFC 164 and looks to rack up another lengthy win streak to earn another "Showtime" title shot.

That may be easier said than done.

Khabilov (17-1) has remained perfect through three fights inside the Octagon with two finishes by way of knockout/technical knockout. He was last seen taking a three-round unanimous decision win over grizzled veteran Jorge Masvidal in their "Fight for the Troops" back in November.

It's safe to say this will be his stiffest test to date.

But that's exactly what "The Tiger" wanted when he recently petitioned the ex-champ for a five-round slugfest to help propel himself into the top five of his division (he's currently No. 15). Henderson was quick to accept, even though he may have been expecting to fly with "The Eagle."

Close, but no Dagestani.

No other fights have been announced for the "Henderson vs. Khabilov" FOX Sports 1 telecast at this time; however, additional match-ups are expected in the coming days.

Stay tuned.
