Carlos Condit injured his knee during his fight against Tyron Woodley, leading to the latter earning a TKO victory at tonight's UFC 171 event.

The co-main event of tonight's (Sat., Mar. 15, 2014) UFC 171: "Hendricks vs. Lawler" pay-per-view (PPV) at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, featured perennial welterweight contender Carlos Condit taking on rising star Tyron Woodley in a battle to see who would become the next title challenger at 170-pounds.

"The Chosen One" lived up to his nickname, though it came via freak injury.

Woodley looked great early, scoring with a couple strong punches that landed clean and had Condit backing up against the fence. He was also physically controlling "The Natural Born Killer".

That's what you do when you're rocking Donkey Kong strength.

A triangle attempt from Condit was countered with a near powerbomb. Then, about 45 seconds later they did the same spot. A spinning back fist closed the round and after one, it certainly looked like Woodley was in control.

Into the second round, and Woodley snagged a takedown. During said takedown, Condit grimaced in pain but continued on as though everything was okay. Then, after standing, Woodley landed a strong leg kick and after doing so, Condit landed poorly on his back knee and it buckled.

Condit went down in a heap and the referee called a stop to it.
