Full scrum video: Nick Diaz declares he is back, 'ready' for UFC return fight in July
Nick Diaz is in attendance at UFC 171, clearly interested in the numerous 170-pound match ups on the Dallas, Texas, card with the title of long-time division champion, Georges St-Pierre, up for grabs in the main event between Johny Hendricks vs. Robbie Lawler. In fact, the former No. 1 contender -- who retired from the sport after losing to St-Pierre at UFC 158 back in March 2013 -- suddenly wants back in the Octagon this summer (even though he demanded an immediate title to return despite a two-fight losing streak). Nonetheless, Diaz held court with mixed martial arts (MMA) media at American Airlines Center this evening, announcing his desire to return to competition, as well as talked about the fresh Welterweight landscape that now includes new (Hendricks) and old (Carlos Condit) challenges. Diaz -- who went out of his way to heckle Hendricks last night during his re-weigh in (watch video here) -- also talks about staying in shape, serving as assistant coach on The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 20 and much more. Enjoy!
