Titan FC 27 results: Ex-UFC fighters Mike Ricci and Matt Riddle win big in Kansas City

Matt Riddle said he likes to "rip tubes and kick ass," then backed it up with a submission win against a former ZUFFA-veteran in "KC."

USA TODAY Sports

It has been a busy 24 hours in mixed martial arts (MMA).

Aside from Bellator 110 on Friday night (results), as well as Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) doing its thing overseas (more on that here), Titan Fighting Championship made its CBS Sports Network debut on Feb. 28, 2014, inside Memorial Hall in Kansas City.

And it was a doozy.

Former UFC fighter Mike Ricci blew away fellow ZUFFA veteran Jorge Gurgel in the main event of the evening, busting him wide open (pic) and finishing the fight via brutal strikes. In the co-main, fellow UFC jetsam Matt Riddle and Michael Kuiper went to war, with "Deep Waters" taking home a third-round submission finish.

Check out the full Titan FC 27 results below.

Titan FC Main Card:

Mike Ricci def. Jorge Gurgel via TKO (strikes) R1 | 3:57
Matthew Riddle def. Michael Kuiper via submission (guillotine choke) R2 | 2:29
Kurt Holobaugh def. Eric Marriott via unanimous decision
Kevin Croom def. Bryan Goldsby via unanimous decision

Titan FC Prelims:

There you have it.

Titan FC 28 is expected to go down on April 19, 2014, also on CBS Sports Network, with rumored bouts featuring Vinny Magalhaes and Jeff Curran, among others.
