Don't let the cell door hit you in the ass on the way in.
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) issued a statement earlier today (read it) regarding the arrest of light heavyweight mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Thiago Silva, who was captured and jailed without bond on two counts of aggravated assault in Broward County, Florida (more on that here).
The promotion said it had "no comment" regarding the Brazilian's fighting future; however, UFC President Dana White did, reacting angrily to his former fighter's tale of infidelity, domestic violence, death threats, guns, booze, tasers and much more (read the shocking police report here).
"This guy will never fight in the UFC again," White told TMZ Sports.
Silva's release was made official earlier today, just hours after he appeared in front of the judge to answer for his charges (video). In addition to posing a flight risk, the court ruled that Silva was also a threat to his wife (and community) and denied bond. which means he will remain behind bars until further notice.
